cnnsi.com has almost the exact same poll. The canidates are Cassell, Kidd, Marbury, Stockton, and Payton. What a f***** joke!! I will at least give them credit for not putting Jason Williams on the poll. He wasn't the best PG on his former team (see Bobby Jackson), he won't be the best PG in Memphis (see DaJaun Wagner) and he isn't even the best point gaurd with his name (see Duke University's Jason Williams). This is BS. List should read like this. 1. J Kidd 2. GP 3. Stockton 4. Franchise/Cassell 5. whoever else was on there JW/TB/BIbby 6. Marbury is not a Point Guard - BALL HOG! I agree with you, Greg #3. Another example of why you shouldn't listen, or believe, the "experts". I mean, Steve isn't a pure PG, granted, but neither is Brandon, Bibby, Cassell, Marbury, or Payton. If you want to ask about the top "pure" PGs, the selections should be: 1. Stockton 2. Kidd 3. Mark Jackson 4. Andre Miller ------------------

I think we get the point by now that Francis gets NO RESPECT whatsoever from ANYBODY other then the ROckets. People think that just because he is flashy, he shows off and dunks, and he gets a lil TOO energized at times (e.g. 30 technical fouls) means that he is a ball hog who is ruining his team. But we all know that he: a) Is better than Stockton, and proved it by tearing up Stockton one on one b) Prbably will be tied (wil JWilliams of Duke) as the #1 PG in the league once Kidd is over the Hill and he matures a lil more c) That he is more of a pure PG than Cassel or Marbury and he can pass, shoot, and rebound well for a PG. So if you see a published report about Francis getting no props, just ignore it and, if it makes you feel any better, watch tapes of the Dallas game when he scored 36.
