I wouldn't cry at all if the Rockets didn't trade for Herro but, at best, that's what I would give Miami in exchange for Herro. There's no way I would give up any of the young players on the roster (Tate, KMJ, KPJ, Wood) for Herro right now.
Today’s everyone’s happy Your hometown Rockets In Simmons Out Wall & 23&24 Rebounding with talent —> Buying low Heat In Wall Out Iguodala & Dragic Something for nothing Get a FIT for nothing but expiring team options 76’ers In Iguodala, Dragic & 2 FRP Out Simmons Help today & tomorrow Move on from with better FITS with play off experience, cleansing cap & 2 FRP for the future
He is a RFA, but I agree he would be an excellent acquisition... I could see Charlotte matching any non-huge offer. But I also see NYK with huge pocket books and a PG need (word on the street is Lonzo is their target)...
I'm with you. Make the Heat take Wall and 23 OR 24 for Herro and expirings (Dragic Iguodala). At 24 a team dreams of drafting a 15ppg scorer who has a 37point game in the finals. It is all about the talent acquisition and if we move on from Wall, all the better!! Can always flip Herro elsewhere if he doesn't change his attitude?

I don't feel comfortable paying a (at best) 3rd banana $100 million over the next 3 years, especially if we don't have a 1st or 2nd banana in place.
it makes no sense mate. Why would a rebuilding franchise like the cavs, loose their golden ticket to get a potential star player, to get 2 mid rounders and shed 30m from kevin love? They dont care about cap space at this point, they will be terrible no matter what, and after this season his trade value as an expiring could be good. Look at how okc operates, and this is exactly how the cavs should. They have a young roster thats going nowhere yet, so they can tank one more year, probably trade one of garland or sexton and get something next year 2. This is a 4 or 5 player draft and they have a chance to get evan Mobley to complement Allen as their future frontcourt. This would be a super dumb trade on their part. And NY, wall is not a star anymore. They have Rose if they want a guard that used to be awesome. Will see what they do with Randall, after his "awesome" playoff perfomance. Maybe think about this from all points of views.
Cavs want to build around Sexton, Garland and Allen, not trade them away. NYK want to accelerate their timeline with Randle, not restart it. You’re the one not looking at it from all points of view.
I’ve never liked CJ’s game that much. Too much mid range for me and he’s not very good finishing around the rim. I think he’s a 6th man of the year kind of talent. He’s not a cornerstone franchise player and that’s what he’s paid like.
I would do an Ingles for Eric Gordon swap straight up. Mutually beneficial - Jazz get a player with more offensive talent than Ingles, we get Eric Gordon off the books for an expiring contract with Ingles. If we can't leverage the expiring contract as part of a subsequent deal, just buy him out.
They are not building around sexton and Garland. They will choose one, they are both 6-1, you cant have a backcourt that small in your starting unit. The 3rd pick in the draft gives them a potential star to go with one of those guys and Allen. They dont need to shed money, nobody is signing in cleveland, they need to find a trade for klove that somehow helps them, which would be really hard, unless Love shows something at the olympics. I agree that ny wants to accelerate their timeline, but why would they want has been wall on their team? He sucks. They have derrick rose to fulfil that role, they dont need wall.If they strike out on free agency, they may try to trade. Also, as i said, we will see what happens with Randle, he sucked on the playoffs, im not sure you want to pay him the max. You are just trying to build a case on a trade, that doesnt make that much sense for some of the parts.
I doubt they want another undersized guard, when ingles is a big part of their team and can shoot and handle the ball. I hope we can ship gordon with a 1 round pick for something usefull, someone like Harrison barnes or malik Beasley.
Do they? I feel this offseason will be big for them, and that they'll be looking to do a roster shakeup. Although an Ingles for Gordon move isn't quite the shakeup that they might be thinking, I think in general Gordon provides a much better defensive and offensive presence (when healthy) than Ingles does whose game is a bit different overall. The Jazz lack athleticism and rely too heavily on two guys for scoring when they need a bucket (Clarkson, Mitchell). Getting another guy that can create off the dribble would be worth the deal to them, I think. Depending on who we draft, Barnes or Beasley might not be in the cards. I don't know what the Kings would see in Gordon, and I'm not sure the FO would want to part with a first rounder for an older Barnes. Of the teams eliminated, I expect the Sixers, Nuggets, Knicks, Heat, Celtics, Blazers, and Mavs will be aggressive in the offseason, some might even think that they are "one player away" from the championship (the Suns went all-in with the CP3 deal and look at what's happening there). If so, I think there's a better chance we see one of those teams make a play for John Wall than EG, though there should be a market for him for a team with cap space or an equal salaried player that a team wants to move on from (I see Ingles in the latter camp for the Jazz).
Are you a Rockets fan? Wood AND 3 FRP????? And Rockets get back Kevin Love??? I am not a Wall fan but despise idea of Love on Rockets.
The advantage is that would give young guys space to develop into 1st or 2nd bananas. We are basically paying Gordon and Wall double that rate (combined) to be 4th or 5th bananas I dunno - it wouldn't be the worst idea ever. Not sure Portland would bite at that deal though.
