Scottie only recognized that because he can’t score like KD, if Scottie could score like KD he wouldn’t even think of teammates don’t be fooled.

I don't know if Jesus himself would have become a great team basketball player if he could score like Durant. However his game got to where it was, the point was that Pippen knows what he's talking about when it comes to playing a team game because he played it at its highest level.

As an aside, what Durant did in not refuting what Pippen said and choosing instead to attempt to weaken his argument by attacking him is so weak. Maybe I didn't notice it before, but that tactic is becoming too common, IMO. What's worse is that it works!

I mean, Pippen's argument is dead on arrival even though it is a solid argument that is not easily refuted just because he had flaws in his game, personality, and heart. None of them make Durant a great facilitator, especially in comparison to LeBron.

Pippen may or may not be right, but he should keep his mouth shut. He doesn’t exactly have a flawless record as a player and teammate himself.

Pippen fell flat on his face when asked to be a playmaker in Houston. I will never forget him needing 27 shots to score 37 points when he “led” the Rockets to a single win in the first round against the Lakers. Then he followed that up by dribbling the ball off his foot in crunch time the following game to end the series.

Pippen was a great role player and sidekick with the Bulls, no question. But he really doesn’t have a good enough track record as a superstar and leader to tell better players how they should lead a team.

This is still my all-time favorite Pippen story:

https://www.businessinsider.in/spor...gedly bet Pippen $100,win the race that night.

Pippen is not the sharpest tool in the proverbial shed.
