Giannis is such a beast in the paint. Chuck is right about it being rare for a 7 footer to be that big, that athletic, quick and that skilled. He so dominant in the paint even without a great point guard to give him easy buckets from the pick and roll. Imagine him being spoon fed passed from Nash or CP3 or Trae like Stoudamire, Griffin/Ayton, Capela as they rolled to the basket.
Seems like some rules don't apply to Giannis. He routinely surpasses 10 seconds per foul shot and did a basket interference when Tucker lobbed the 3.
When you take out the super teams, you will get a super random playoffs. The Hawks could win the championship, because dame Ice Trae Young is one of the two most impactful players along with Giannis.
They’re giving tucker the three on that haha. Might have been the purest shot he’s taken in the playoffs.
Agreed. Plus neither the bucks, sixers or Knicks had players that could take advantage of him in the pick and roll. LeBron, KD, Dame, Kawhi, Booker, Mitchell, Harden, Kyrie would've repeated forced the switch to attacked him on offense.
The free throw thing is beyond the pale though. It’s not the same as an objectionable foul call. We all know the rule and we can actually count it out. He needs to speed it up or get the call.
Free throw violations are a weird area officials selectively enforce. Nearly every free throw has players violating the rules. Free throw shooters often step pass the line before the ball hit the rim. Even more egregious, players are always stepping pass the 3 point line or their lane before the ball is release.
