Would love to see Grimes get drafted by the Rockets and House be traded for a future draft pick.

With the on court portion of the NBA pre-Draft Combine ending and the agent run workouts beginning, it’s time for everyone involved - the NBA teams, the NBPA and especially the NBA League Office - to reevaluate what’s become a broken system.

Right now, every NBA player who is traded or signs as a Free Agent has to pass a thorough medical physical. But the players going through the Draft process aren’t required to do anything. If they don’t want to play basketball, do interviews or get a physical, they don’t have to do any of it.

The result of these rules is the following: When any NBA players are traded (like Kemba Walker for Al Horford) or sign as Free Agents (like Kawhi, CP3, etc in ‘21) they have to report to their new teams and take a physical immediately. If they don’t, the teams involved could reject the trade.

But Cade Cunningham and the other top 2021 Draft prospects don’t have to do anything - no workouts, no interviews, no physical, etc. Nothing. So everyone involved has made the process of signing with a team better for 19-22 year old kids who aren’t in league than it is for veteran NBA players (even the superstars) who have helped build and grow the league in to what it has become.

Kuminga looks to me like he gained muscle. He looks like 230 pounds 6'8"

    and only 18 years old

If they are supposed to report heights without shoes now, why the hell are they still measuring with shoes on...

Just silly and ruins transparency of actual heights, we just have to play the guessing game of how thick the plastic is on the bottom of everybody's feet still?

NBA is supposed to be listing players' heights without shoes officially, but it doesn't take much searching to see players who are still being listed whole inches, sometimes 2, above their predraft measurements, and I'm gonna call BS on everybody growing.

His movements remind me of Kawhi.

maybe it's deceptive, camera adds 10 pounds; but he looks heavier than
his G-league Elite days where he was listed around 222 pounds.

If the mocks are correct.......Orlando Magic are going to be very happy
with that young man. Jonathan Issac and Kuminga both as combo
forwards with Cole Anthony, Fultz (eventually), Wendell Carter, RJ
    Hampton, Okeke

I'm guessing Kuminga ended his G-league Elite season short
to work again in a NBA pre-draft training program to address
    those weaknesses that were evident.

Played just enough games to be eligible for the draft

Big but slow and not a lot of lift.

Didn't look sharp or even physical on 2nd day of combine scrimmages.

Makur is not a 1st rounder IMO. Not in a draft this deep.

But yes, agreed that Wood needs to get stronger, especially lower body.

    like non

we could always buy a late 2nd like we did with KJM, but with potentially 3 rookies coming in, might not do that unless it’s a draft and stash

    Why not 1 of each?

It all depends on who's taken at #2 IMO.

    Nothing.

    Yet.

I'm banking on Stone to change that, would like 2 SRP in this very deep draft.

But there will still be few very good UDFA to choose from.

I like Scottie Barnes better than Kuminga.

I'd take him over Suggs too.

Barnes played at same size you believe Kuminga currently is - Barnes is legit 6'8 230 with 7'3 wingspan.

And his defense is not potentially elite, it IS elite.

If Barnes had a 3ball, he would be 1st player drafted IMO.
