I'm still gleaming with joy with the results last night. The thought of drafting 18 had worn me out.

Honestly, I'm sick of people saying how does the draft pick fit with Wood. Wood isn't a championship level guy, he 3rd maybe 4th best player on a champion level.

Draft the guy who you think is 1st or 2nd option on the championship team and we'll get the filler later.

True, Mobley is soft despite his defense and athleticism. Green is explosive, but somewhat raw. He isn't afraid of contact. Suggs is the safe bet, with less upside. I'm going for Green.

mobley is the guy of the top 4 who is least likely to project as a #1 guy on a championship team. Because the offense isn’t there yet. The offense eventually got there for AD and he was still the #2 offensive option on a championship team.

this is a dumb comparison. They used assets to get CP3. If they had Booker and Luka they’d still have assets to pick up another piece.

Clearly 3 great players is better than 2.

maybe they wouldn’t have been able to use the assets to grab someone as solid as CP3… but that’s as much a function of luck as anything.

and quite simply you could look at the same draft and see the Kings who also drafted fit over talent and that was a disaster.

You don’t draft for “fit” at this stage in the game. Take whomever you think can be the most impactful player 3-5 years from now.

Don’t overthink it. Trading down would be idiotic unless it’s means your still in the top 4. Just draft Green at 2 and move on.

KOC doesnt like Wood-Mobley fit but mocks Mobley to Cavs.

    LOL

    What about Mobley-JA-Love fit?????

Rockets have to block out noise and take BPA.

2022 draft has a better top 4 than 2021 draft.

    Paolo Banchero
    Chet Holmgren
    Jaden Hardy
    Damion Collins/Jabari Smith

If you go by almost sure first option that is Cade.

The others are not as guaranteed.

QUESTION: IS Mobley significantly better than Jarrett Allen? More Upside?
(Mobley is who we see as a center right?)

The GM’s have their proprietary advanced metrics systems. With the added experience of dozens of basketball minds. If they do their homework, I think they pick the guy who gets them back to Elite NBA prominence. But as many have said, they just have to block out the noise; as that noise is designed for views and clicks, not wins. What ramifications does a sports media unit have when they get it wrong, absolutely none!

Been watching plenty of tape on our picks, Suggs is an alpha dog for sure but he might not be big enough for NBA success given his size, Cade has the higher floor and is the most rounded player and fits anywhere, Green has the higher ceiling though and the big question is how elite can he become at playmaking. Mobely is years away from finding his potential. The pick should be Green, this guy is going to be a brilliant scorer and he has superstar potential.
