    Avril Lavigne has explained why the lyrics to her songs were also so angry: she was eating too many carbs.


    The "Complicated" singer is out promoting her new album, "Under My Skin," and has given this reason for her former angst. “I was eating bad stuff,” Lavigne said. “Lots of sugar and carbs, junk food all the time. It makes you very irritated. I spent some time with a nutritionist and learned I had low blood sugar. Now I eat accordingly.”

    It would seem that the lack of carbs is now going to her Lavigne’s head. “I have always known I was going to be a star,” Lavigne continued, according to the London Mirror. “I knew this was my destiny so things have fallen into place.”

    Lavigne dismissed rumors that she’s dating Justin Timberlake and is commenting on those evenings she’s been spending with shock rocker Marilyn Manson — though she denies they’re romantically involved. “When we’re in the same city we get together and he’s so cool,” Lavigne said. “One time, we hung out in his room and watched movies. I went to his show a couple of times and we hung out on the tour bus after. When we’re together it’s really cool because we just sit there and totally talk. It’s so healthy when I can sit down and talk to another artist who’s doing what I’m doing.”

    I never cared for Marilyn Manson until after that Columbine movie, but after that, I kinda liked him. Seems like he does have something to say. I'd hang with him.

    I'd do her but she needs to get some sun. She looks just as pale as Marilyn Manson. I guess that's why they're friends. They both need to get out more.

    She'd clean up nicely. She has a look. But I want that girl in the Bend it like Beckham movie. She's a dirty girl who cleans up nice too.

    So how does Avril explain the fact that her lyrics are also crappy. Too much dairy and chocolate?

    But I'd give her some "inspiration."

    Manson is a very smart individual. Sure a lot of his schtick is that he is a shock rocker and is out to cause controversy, but if you listen to one of his albums you'll see that's not what it is all about. I was a big Manson fan for many years. These days I think his act is a little played out, but I still enjoy listening to his music.

    Ok, so it isn't the teen angst or feeling beaten down for being a girl in a business dominated by men, it's just the carbs. So, now that she is seeing a nutritionist, I'm assuming everything she writes will be peace and love, right?

    Only initially. After the sugar rush, you're on a downer and you feel miserable so I guess I see where she's coming from. But still, all that money and she can't afford to eat healthy?

    So she looks like a normal person. That means she's ugly?

    I saw her in person at the Hilton a few weeks ago while I was at the bar and she's hardly ugly. She's just a normal looking teenager.
