Ice Trae shimmied on the bucks. The 2 time mvp saw it and told his team in the huddle and still loss. Lol
Everyone is heaping praise on Trae (and rightfully so), but are we really going to discount Capela and Collins combining for 34 rebounds (9 offensive), Capela's good defense on Giannis and Collins' relentless hustle? Not saying Mobley should be our pick at #2, but I feel like you can't just discount Mobley in favor of a guard just because Trae had 48 points.
Trey was a 36% 3 pt shooter in college compared to Jalens 33%. Also Suggs has a better 2 pt FG % at 50% to Traes 42% in college.
Word. If Capela didn't grab that offensive rebound and put it back to take the lead Hawks would probably lose.
That's why next season you draft Chet Holmgren. Wood/Chet front court weighing a total of 300lbs will dominate the NBA.
People always undervalue what bigs do on a team nowadays, they are like the Olinemen and Catchers of Basketball Clint had a huge game obviously and Collins too.
This has been one of the craziest NBA playoffs I can remember. It's like ... watching sports with actual parity and intrigue.
It felt like every Collins' offensive rebound resulted in him immediately getting 2 points, all in one motion.
Bucks going for a 3 down 1 @ home with a guy that can bully his way inside almost at will? Then going to the hot shooter of the night for the tie, aiming for a streak of 0-9. Some strange calls.
so ? Other times I wasnt watching so I couldnt comment but this game I saw and the 2 times MVP was the best player of his team. Clutchfans keep being salty AF. LMAO
Just saying though, shout out TO JOHN COLLINS. Every time the Hawks needed something, he was there to provide it for them. He's a big time player. I donno if I could give him the max but daaaaamn, I would love him on the Rockets.
So what. I can laugh if I want. It’s hilarious. And he can’t even take the last shot. Holiday was actually the best player this game on the bucks. Not him lol
I don't know what the numbers are man but Trae's shooting ability is league's above Suggs. Young came into the draft with a draft comp of Curry by some...Suggs comes into the draft with one of his knocks being his shooting. Clearly Trae just didn't have the best shooting year but it's plainly incorrect to say him and Trae are in the same tier of shooting.
A big who can switch on guards effectively (like AD, Giannis, Draymond, KD, maybe one or two other) AND defend the rim is really valuable and rare. If they can score (inside or out), there's maybe 3 or 4 in the entire NBA.
That ship has likely sailed. I was willing to give the guy a max just because I want to take risks at this point in our rebuild.
I mean...those are the numbers. And Suggs doesn't have a broken shot. He'll improve there.. he has the tear drop and can finish at the rim. Dude has a killer mentality and isn't afraid of the moment. We know what that looks like here all too well.
Yea.....Atlanta is probably throwing the max at him huh. That sucks, he's a great player. And it looks like a playoff killa.
