This is not really like Dream vs Jordan. Those were generational players and they were both great in college that lead their teams to the title game. First of all Dream was a dominant college player, Cade wasn't that great as a college player , but his skills are obvious. This is more like the Greg Oden draft IMO
You don’t need a big that can give you 20+ a night. You need guards that can give you 25-30 + a night. You need bigs that can give you 10-15 10 boards a block can switch on the pnr and spread the floor for your penetrators all at around 15 mil a year. Kat, Joel, zion, AD, all sitting at home.
Green has no where near the game of Ja Morant. And let me know who's team is currently up 2-0 in the Western Conference finals. Ayton has stepped up his game since Paul went out. He and Booker are leading this team.
False. Booker was just a shooter coming out of Kentucky. He developed his game after he got to the league. Booker went 13 in a weak draft for a reason.
There wasn’t really a Jordan/Bowie debate for Portland at the time either. Portland told Chicago a month prior to the draft that they would take Bowie as long as he passed his physical…he did, after 7 hours, and they took him. Portland was all-in on a big man that off-season. They were willing to trade Clyde and the #2 pick for Sampson after they didn’t land the #1 pick that season…otherwise, they were taking Hakeem if they had landed the top pick. However, after the Rockets said no, they felt they didn’t need a SG with Clyde already there. Rockets would have taken Jordan if they lost the coin flip. They also would have taken Jordan if the above trade had gone through.
Lol that makes no sense. Booker was the THIRTEENTH pick. Guys that were better rated as prospects that year included Mudiay, Stanley Johnson, and Hezonja
Green, because of his experience, has the potential to come into the league and score 18+ ppg. I personally have him going for 12-15 ppg his rookie season. But the potential is there for more.
Yeah, sure. But not at #2. Those players are good for #5 and on. Maybe even #4 in this particular draft. The Rockets can find another Mobley like player later at 23-24 if they just really gotta have one.
Better hope this is not Hakeem and Jordan 2.0 Because the team drafting second ended up with Sam Bowie!!!!
I'm trying to figure out the analogy too! If Cade = Jordan (best wing) and Mobley = Dream (best big), is it reversed in that the league is with focussed not big focussed, and therefore picking a wing at 2 = Bowie!!??!!
