I did meet her. I have her number but respectfully never used it much. That’s a good idea to send her one. She’s an author and into promoting reading for sure. She’s with Barbara Bush Library I think.

It would be a lot cooler if it was narrated by James Earl Jones, but I could settle for Samuel L.

When Billie finally makes it to the top, Tom Cruise will already be there, squating (not sitting) eating a power bar, greeting Billie, “You finally made it. Welcome to the GOAT club, Billie!” Then he stands up, finishes his snack, neatly folding the Oatmega wrapper and placing it in his pocket, to say, ... “Now let’s poop on top of the Matterhorn.”

@Xerobull my apologies for the late reply. My wife and I attended her best friend's brother's funeral this weekend in St. Louis. He was a young man of only 37 and although neither of us had ever met him, we felt like attending the funeral to support her friend was extremely important to us as people. We stopped everything and went to St. Louis because we felt that her needs exceeded ours this weekend. So again, I'm sorry to reply so slowly.

My brother died just a couple of years ago unexpectedly and I've told a few of you in our private messaging system as much. I didn't announce to everyone, but I do trust almost all of you with knowing that detail about me. We all have struggles on here. A lot of them come out in your posting and I empathize. Or at least I try to.

I had a friend of mine from college that showed up to my brother's funeral. He never met my brother, he was there to support me. I can't tell you how much this meant to me and to my wife. I was floored. So when my wife's best friend had this happen to her, I felt like being there was a non-option. We figured out how to move around money and make this trip immediately. I recommend if you have the financial means to do something like this. The selflessness that my best friend showed to me was an insurmountable pinpoint in our friendship that will last forever. If you show up for folks I promise it will mean so much.

I say all of this to say thank you my fellow clutchfans members for showing up for me and buying this book for either yourselves or for young readers in your lives. To you @Xerobull I will absolutely give you a signed copy. Can you and I figure out how to make that happen? I live in Austin and I'm happy to travel wherever in Austin to make that happen, but if not can we work out a way to get a signed copy to you?

I think there is a built in way to make that happen on NetGalley.com if your wife is a member. Anyway I would not be interested in charging you extra. Maybe ship the book to me with prepaid return and I will get it out to you? I'm not sure what works? I do not want to limit your access to me in any way. Maybe prepaid shipping or something can work out? I'm sorry I don't have the financial means to just send one your way. Hopefully one day that's not a problem for me. I will always wish to support educators.

Thanks @ATXNekko ! I hope she's inspired by Billie. I will always be looking at young folks that decide they want to be great in whatever means they wish to be so. I hope your daughter makes her dreams come true whatever they might be.

Congrats on your book! The art looks great and I second the other posters on the cover art.

I did some work for the National Park Service a few years ago and the cover reminds me of graphics for the NPS.

Does this book take place in the same universe as Trevor Something?
