None of the 3 are bigs. Literally all Forwards.

    but

Bigs (centers/power forwards) are more likely to bust or be injury prone or both.

Guards have higher upside on average and are definitely safer picks.

Neither Green or Mobley are guaranteed but Green is safer considering he played against much better talent straight out of highschool.

We have to wait for Mobley to put on muscle and develop a jumpsuit for him to reach his potential offensively.

Yeah FORWARD as in POWER FORWARD or SMALL FORWARD. Guess who can be a PF? Mobley. Guess who isnt a forward? Green.

Lol at waiting what you think Rox are gonna compete next season with Green?

I wouldnt be mad at a Green pick he is my 2nd option after Mobley but there will be another Green pick next year just like there was Edwards last year. When's the last time a big like Mobley has appeared? You'd have to go back to AD days most players with his body type are either unproven or didnt do anything in college.

Greg Oden…sadly Yao Ming ( those big man foot problems), Darko, Kwame Brown, Stromile Swift, Adam Morrison, Anthony Bennett, Sam Bowie….

Frank Zaminksy in a way, Anthony Davis (always injured) in a way….Hasheem Thabeet…

    Okafor, Bogut…

Isaac Okoro, Killian Hayes, Devin Vessell, Kira Lewis Jr. You dont need to go back decades all thise guys picked just last year. Immanuel Quickley picked 25th better than thise guys picked in lotto.

Personally, I have a slight preference for Green because I think 25-PPG scorers are hard to come by in this league, and I'm excited by his athleticism, shooting and offensive skillset. But I disagree with OP's premise. Jokic and Embiid were the two best players in the league this season, and they didn't advance in the playoffs because they failed personally; they didn't advance because their teams weren't playing to their level. If you replace Simmons and Harris with two guys actually worth max contract or you get a healthy Jamal Murry in Denver, and I think both teams are still playing basketball right now.

Mobley is a Bosh type big, if he peaks. Yea, he won't be the best player but you need someone like him in a championship team.

Lakers just won a championship with a big?

Like the idea that Embiid and Jokic lost because they are bigs is a narrative. They lost because they didn't have an all-star guard, that is true...but if the Nuggets just had Murray and no Jokic they wouldn't win either.

Suns would not be this far without Deandre Ayton, yeah Booker's been big but Ayton has as well. You need someone to get rebounds and protect the rim, you still need that. That hasn't changed. Your big just has to be able to decently switch onto guards.

If Green can be a Ja Morant type player than we have to pick him. Use pick 22 and 23 to grab a 6’10 big man with hops to protect the rim. OR
Grab Mobley so much upside, the guy is a walking bucket anywhere near the paint, plus a great defender from the weakside. A Chris Bosh type player.

Sigh.. all 3 came into the league as Small Forwards. They are closer to guards than big. Literally all perimeter players.

AD was wayyy more skilled than Mobley coming out of college. AD himself turned out to be a number 2 option and not a franchise centerpiece.

every team needs a star guard that’s why everybody either has or is looking for one.

when have we ever seen a big like Bol Bol or Thon Maker two scrubs with unique skillsets as well.

we damn sure aren’t competing any time soon with Mobley.

I’ll take the 3 level scorer over the scrawny unicorn project.

I think the clearer picture is the big is great to have if you have an elite perimeter talent to pair him with. If the Rockets don't feel like Suggs or Green are it, then Mobley can still turn out to be a great piece if KPj, or a draft pick next year turns out to be the elite perimeter player and most important star. Or maybe it never comes or KPj never develops and Mobley doesn't take us anywhere and eventually leaves. I think with Wood young enough, and 2 super hyped bigs next years draft, i'm comfortable going with a perimeter player this year.

I said they played SF. Read slower.

Mobley is not comparable to any of the 3 in any way shape or forward…

I think the key here is the team with the most talent spread across their roster wins. The teams left now In the playoffs are talented in all positions. Which means the Rockets will select Mobley with the second pick. We have nothing at center. When talent is too close to call, you have to address team needs and salary construction.
