    That's the one silver lining to cling to if the Rockets end up with the 18th pick after tonight: Cade, Mobley, Green or Suggs alone don't make this team a legit contender by themselves. The Rockets need a lot of things to fall into place before they're taken seriously as a playoff team again. Does landing a top 4 pick make that easier? Probably, but a lot of other things need to happen first before the Rockets are respectable again.

    Maybe I’m late to this revelation but the worst team in the league can pick no worse than top 5 right? (Repeating what I heard on sports radio).

    So if the protection was top 5 instead of top 4 we would’ve been guaranteed to keep our pick. God this sucks…

    Wait where did the best draft class since 2003 talk come from? From what I've seen this class has lotsa good dudes but no surefire great dudes like LeBron. Not complaining though I'd still love a top 4 but I don't think we have a surefire future MVP in this one.

    How does the NBA have a sliver of credibility when the actual lottery is conducted behind closed doors PRIOR to the television broadcast? Will we see the influence of China holding a grudge for the D Morey incident regarding Taiwan? The NBA lost millions in China revenue from TV broadcast and merchandise sales.

    Still the child in me hopes for the one ball. I'm on board the Cade train. At worse a 2- 4 would do just fine. If we miss out on Cade, I'm liking Mobley as the back up plan.
