Why is Rivers getting blamed? There's not a lot of plays you can do when you got a max guy who cant shoot....

 

No you just want to make it to where he's just some perpetual loser because he didnt win a chip which is nonsense. Okay? He really wanted Harden and Tillman refused to trade for him. He's missed now but he still has an opportunity to make a trade next season. And guess what? All gms have flaws or miss sometimes. You just refuse to see the positives and cant think past the result. Because thinking about it would require some work. Philly was never the favorites for the title, that was the Nets. Very flawed in their respective roles, Doc and Simmons were not brought on by Morey. Whatever blame you are trying to put on him is simply not cleaning up someone else's mess. See this is what Im talking about, you dont like him so you make up bull crap to suit your false narrative.

Seriously though... If you write down the 30 current GM names on individual pieces of paper.

There are three bowels: good, average, not good. Each bowel must have 10 names. Where would you put Daryl, if you count him as the 76ers GM. Would you really put Daryl in that below average bowel?

 

You want Morey to be in your bowel, that's for sure.

 

All I'm saying is things are relative. It's really a spectrum. People say this GM is good or that one is bad. By the super strict standards people here put out; unless it's one or two guys; Ujiri or in the past a Jerry West, a RC Buford...etc usual name drops. It sounds like every other current NBA GM is trash.

In the 76ers case, the bad gm is the one that signed Tobias and Ben Simmons big money and now their hands are tied.

 

If I’m morey I’m calling Minnesota about a Simmons for Russell swap maybe something like... Russell/Beasley for Simmons, Maxey, and Clark. I really don’t see a trade partner for Simmons they might be stuck with him, they might have to throw a pick in any deal involving him

 

I agree. Morey knows the importance of 3 pt shooting I mean he been trying to get rid of Simmons the moment he arrived, thankfully our GM wasnt having none of his BS otherwise we would be the one stuck with broke shot trio.

As far shoring up the weaknessss of the team I give Morey a solid B/B+. He got Danny Green, Seth Curry and Dwight all 3 of those guys were productive. At the end of the day the Sixers are paying super max to a dude scoring 8 pts a night, I mean lol what you want Rivers or Morey to do? Their hands are tied at this point. Wonder if Morey will jump on a Walker for Simmons trade? If the goal is just to build around Embiid while he is still healthy that might be the best route for them....

Obviously Morey won't speak the truth, but I'm sure he doesn't feel good about a future with Ben Simmons in it. He must feel worse knowing that the market for Simmons is likely limited. I'm sure he's likely not a fan of Doc being the coach either.
