Spoilt Rockets fans deep down know how dire the situation the franchise is in right now, so holding on to any petty thing they can find to tell themselves the Rockets are better off without Harden.

This pathetic thread was made when Harden was on one hammy, truly sad to see.

They think versatility equals superior player.

I think they are about the same, but being 7'0 gives you all the advantage IMHO.

Basketball is about height, this is how they envisioned this sport to be, sorry for all the homers.

    Height over bulk.

Harden would be the better American football player.

That being said, still think KD is half Beta half snake.

All I know is that even if Harden was 100% healthy, the Nets would have still been giving the ball to Durant every possession down the stretch just like they did last night. Make of that what you will.

All i know it took 5 allstars team and the refs for durant to beat harden by 4:3 in 2018. Make of that what you will.

Harden is a bonafide scrub! He can’t play! No disrespect whatsoever, but I’m sorry to call, tell everybody the truth, the man cannot play the game of basketball. He has small hands, he can’t move off the ball, he has bad feet, he can’t really move even though he’s mobile, doesn’t really know what he’s doing, doesn’t have a midrange shot that he puts to memory that he can do two times in a row. He has no game whatsoever, plays no defense, doesn’t have the heart, the passion or anything that comes with it. You're telling me he's better than KD? Please! The Houston Rockets knew exactly what they were doing, they should be celebrating right now.

KD is the best player in the league. Acknowledging this is not a diss of Harden, but this is the internet so people love to be delicate and upset and offended. So saying "KD is the best" is received as some as a personal attack.

Even if Harden was healthy, he still would’ve not stepped up in a game 7. Stop being delusional.

Right... because we’ve seen harden do the same thing in the playoffs with the series on the line when he was healthy

Exactly. Harden can be great and KD can be the best in the league. But like you said, the innanets

Why? There literally no matchup for the guy. He’s the best scorer ever. IMO.

And who would be the player who has the offensive ability to force the defense to give thing special attention, and then also had the ability to find Durant in the right place? A player of KD's characteristics needs that other player in order to succeed at the highest level.

You serious? He's not being paid the vet min or the MLE or whatever. The dude is being paid 75M over 4 years to do one thing and one thing only. And he couldn't do that one thing well, throughout this entire series.

He had open looks so many times, and couldn't hit. Of all the Nets players to be frustrated with, Harris should be first and foremost.

Everyone is overpaid, especially that dude named Gobert.

I find it funny that people are not learning from what happened to the Rockets in 2018.

3s ain't falling in the Playoffs like in the regular season.

    It is that blunt.

You have to go to the midrange, go to the hole, resort to other means to score.

I cannot believe people are still whining about missing 3s lol.

You do not have to be a rocket scientist to assume that people are under a lot of stress mentally during the Playoffs, much more than during just 'another' RS game.

I fully get that he is paid much more than he is worth to shoot 3s but that is exactly the misconception.

Even role players should fully adapt and foster their allround game!

That is why I got disinterested in the first place, the league has become a 3 point shooting barrage, very boring!

Harris wasn't just missing 3s. It's only brought up because it's the most glaring thing - a player not being able to do the main thing he's counted on to do. Harris was missing midranges, layups on drives to the hoop, everything. Dude just plain sucked. If Harris was just 'bad' instead of 'overwhelmingly garbage,' the Nets would have won the series in less than 7 games.

FWIW, there are definitely players that are overpaid in the NBA. Gobert is not one of them. DPoYs don't just grow on trees. Was he bad in game 7 against the Clippers? Yes. But that doesn't mean he isn't one of the best defensive players in the NBA.

The saddest part is that fans and folks are treating 3s like the gospel, word of God as well.

The game has to change and it has to diversify yet again.

All those high scoring and record breaking games were fun but let's get back to grit ball.

Maybe not, but in this series, he was the scariest shot-maker I have ever seen. Kind of like Curry, but with real size and driving ability, and can shoot over anybody with his length.

I was actually wondering with .3 seconds if there was some way he could pull up from half court and drain a 3 to win it.
