He tries too hard to be the guy. He needs to involve the team more so they all stay engaged. That heave 3 with Beverley on him is the epitomy of who he is, rather try be the hero than find the open man or rally his troops. That is on him and Snyder as the leaders.
Its no shame to not be good enough at this level.. theres only a handful of guys that have that impact and hes not one of them.

Whole series, media talk about Jazz missing Conley. Elimination game Jazz had their big 3: Gobert, Mitchell, Conley.

Clippers is without Kawhi (and Ibaka). Clippers mutes the Jazz.

I think that’s 8-1 or 9-1 for Tyronn Lue in elimination games. Gotta put some Respek on that name.

nothing mitchell could've done this game to change the outcome.

they had a 25 point lead, hit 21 3's, and the coach allowed gobert to get exposed.

Iverson may have won the battle, but Lue won the war.

So a team "built on defense" allows an average of 125 points per game over a 4 game losing streak to a team that lost its best player.

    1. If that is not a sign the foundation is cracked, nothing is.
    2. This is another example why drafting Mobley makes no sense. Spending high draft picks on bigs hoping they are elite defensive players is no longer the way to win in the league, especially when there are elite wings available at the same tier.

TBF, that was not a 100% Conley. Though he has been so injured the past few seasons, they shouldn't be counting on him lasting a series much less a whole playoffs.

after an otherworldly shooting half by utah in the first half, clippers may have had the best shooting half ever. i didn't start watching the 2nd half until i saw it got back to within 7 (i missed whatever mann did) and the clippers made like their next 7 3's it seemed like. every single person was on fire. only comparable thing i can think of is the cavs with i think 84 points against the warriors but that was the 1st half of a game 4 in a 3-0 series. this was game 6 and a 25 point comeback.

who would think that's how the clippers make the WCF for the first time. clippers winning with no kawhi is my 2nd choice after harden winning.

not even sure you could say the jazz collapsed. not sure what you do against 5-out shooting like that when it's actually hitting.

MDA's Harden double team is Snyder playing Gobert against small lineups.

All that said, I would hate to see centers become obsolete.

As long as they don't go up 2-0 they should be alright.
