    They were never getting Tatum. Ainge wanted him and he wouldn't have given up the 1st pick if he was certain someone would scoop him up first.

    Simmons is a disaster and Philly will have to explore trading him in the offseason even if his value is at an all time low. He hasn't done a thing to improve his game - five years and no improvement. Embiid is made of glass and is an injury waiting to happen. Philly might be tanking again pretty soon IMO.

    Perhaps. It's possible ainge had such a great read on PHI's thoughts. In addition, fultz was regarded as the overwhelming choice to be drafted 1st.
