My opinion - what the hell were you expecting when you voted for him? Are you talking about the primaries or general?

If primaries, yeah you probably goofed based off your post

For the general, to me, he's been what everybody thought he was going to be. It's been pretty good to have Trump out, he reversed a number of senseless or flat out terrible Repub/Trump things which was great, and a lot of his big proposals were dropped, the stuff he gets through is pretty watered down, and the harder you look at what gets passed the less progressive it is, there isn't going to be a ton of change outside of dumpster fire being gone, still, the good things he gets through, the things that are prevented from him being in office over a republican is an undeniable positive. Seems like what everybody expected, and what most of his voters were hoping for.

I thought he'd at least make good on the full stimmy checks and the $15 per hour minimum wage increase promise. Him completely abandoning the latter without so much as peep was very disappointing, even with the low expectations I already had.

We have two major political parties and one is an authoritarian death cult that would rather troll than govern. B!tching about Biden after the tsunami of crap unleashed by the last President is stupid. He's cleaning up the mess.

The sad truth is that each President has about 100 days to accomplish stuff. After that, the window with Congress closes (if it even opened to begin with depending on how down ballot stuff went) and anything you could have done by fiat you will have already done. Barring another crisis, Biden's presidency is effectively over and we won't see any more substantive moves on his part.

Trump wasn't beholden to any party or donors, he won basically on white and rural contrarianism and a deep seated disdain for the Clintons. He could have cut the military budget in half, recalled all hostile foreign deployments, decriminalized drugs and probably even created a third party by working directly with moderates in Congress. But he only cared about privatizing federal land he would later try to invest in through shell companies that ended up being used to bribe pornstars, and learning enough about political event planning and government procurement to intercept those functions and replace large vendors with the Trump Organization.

I've just skimmed some of this thread but not surprised to see it mentioned about Biden getting snippy at a reporter. Will note that Biden apologized something that the previous President never did.

Regarding criticism of Biden certainly he is not above criticism but a lot of this sounds like "The perfect being the enemy of the good". Even from an progressive standpoint Biden has gotten a lot accomplished already and more than I actually expected of him. He still has a good chance of getting a lot of infrastructure passed and a some form of voting rights passed. If people were expecting him to pass the Sander's agenda that never was going to happen. Even if Bernie Sanders had won the Presidency that wasn't going to happen. This is still a divided country with small majorities in Congress (the Democrats don't actually have the majority and it's only those archaic Senate rules that people bellyache about that actually gives Democrats a functioning majority).

Honestly, the key to change in America politics (outside of violent revolution) is to keep voting for the party that pushes the agendas you more align with. Know that this is a long game. Make sure your local level changes first (Harris County shifting is pretty huge). The only way to get more progressive agenda's passed is for Republicans to see that obstruction is not a pathway to winning elections. If you give up after 6months, then you'll get more of the same where the parties flipflop power at the federal level after 2-3 election cycles which again ensures nothing gets done at the federal level.

false equivalency, like Putin force-fitting his killing / jailing of political opponents to the US's Jan 6 insurrection.

Trump's racist actions/rhetorics span 5 decades, Scranton Joe has a proven history of promoting equality and justicej
