MDA went to NJ to help his buddy Nash. Rockets should entertain bringing Carlisle in to help Silas. Heaven knows he needs some better assistants!
Tilman can’t afford Carlisle. Now that that’s out of the way… YES! But he’ll have another head coaching job here shortly.
Will tillman pay for a reputable veteran staff or coach? that doesn't "guarantee him a trip to the finals" that seems to be his obscure unrealistic goal post for spending money? Its about as realistic as us getting luka or Leonard demanding to be traded to play under Landry's. We're goign to have to hope Silas with some stability will show out better
He'll have his pick of jobs and maybe BOS is his target. However, if he wants to take a year off from the grind of the HC seat, he would be a welcomed edition for Silas.
I could see him retiring, but if he weren't, why in the world would he come to Houston. Leave Doncic, and superior owner Cuban, to replace your assistant coach from 1 year ago who just got his first HC job after 20 years of being an assistant Blazers, Celtics, Lakers I could see
He's the #1 coach on the market with 7 teams looking for a coach. He's not going to be an assistant. Carlisle, Stotts, and Kidd will all get a HC spot. Unsled, Cassell, Mosley, Hammon, Ham, Udoka, Billups, and MDA will be in the mix for the other 4 spots or stay where they are. If you're looking for a coaching cast off to add to our bench, it'll be someone like Clifford. not on anyone's list for a HC search, but was a former rockets assistant under JVG and a pretty solid defensive coach.
We don't have the best working conditions, nor do we have the personnel to allow you to have success, and we probably won't be willing to pay you your full worth. I'm sure we're near the top of his preferred destinations.
Rockets should recruit Carlisle but Carlisle should not come. His coaching skills would not be appreciated having a 30-52 record with this roster.
