You overestimate the impact of a top 3 DPOY finalist.

Why don't you list the western conference teams that had a worse supporting cast than the Warriors?

Obviously Curry didn't deserve the MVP, but it sounds like you're penalizing him for games he didn't play. Why don't you look at the GSW record with and without him?

Who's "the media" here? Only 5% of the voters picked him as the MVP. Only 28% even had him in their top 2.

The fact that there were voters who picked Chris Paul and Derrick Rose as the MVP should indicate that this was a weird season. None of the top 2 seeded teams from either conference had a strong candidate, either due to lack of super-star power or (in case of Embiid, Durant/Harden) injuries. That's unusual. Jokic was clearly the best choice in the field, but it's not surprising that a very small fraction of voters might look elsewhere.

Well not really, otherwise Curry would be in the playoffs.

But if you give him 3-4 All-Stars I would bet he makes the playoffs as a 8th seed.

    It's doable.

3-4 All stars would also have helped him win the MVP. Unless we are talking Finals MVP. Durant usually takes those.

    Draymond Green 1st Team??

I was told that Curry, the max paid franchise player, was surrounded by scrubs which is why he did not make the playoffs, and instead Morant did.

Let me repeat that: MAKE THE PLAYOFFS.

    Have I been fooled?

Ofcourse you penalize him with that. That is why Lebron, Durant and Harden are not first team NBA. If you ignore games mist James led the Nets to a 29-7 record while posting amazing numbers. Should he be first team all NBA?

This has been one of the worst years in the nba with soo many injuries on top players. And still GS did not make the play offs and Curry got first team NBA while James was left of all all nba team when he posted amazing numbers on a struggling Rockets team that ended up 8th).

You missed the point. If the Nets missed the playoffs, would it have been unfair to say "Harden couldn't lead the Nets to the playoffs"? Of course it would've been unfair. A Harden-led Nets team won 80% of his games. Harden definitely could've led the Nets to the playoffs, but he missed too many games.

    There's a difference.
