Saddling pitchers with losses they don't deserve sounds grand. Also puts even more weight on the strike out happy pitchers over the soft contact pitchers... rules are for both sides, but it advantages some teams more than others. I hate the rule.
He is the Westbrook of baseball with more of a clutch gene. Incredible lack of baseball IQ but amazing talent.
You're not following your own words. The 8th inning is A TIME. A time that gets questioned during close games with the middle of the order. Praise Dusty
That was awesome. Correa and Altuve... After seeing that ranger fan in the background waving goodbye to the fans that made the terrible decision to leave early during the Correa at bat.... Made it that much sweeter.
Why mention today's game when your thesis is "middle of the order = closer"? Rangers' MOTO was not due in the 8th. I'm asking if your thesis applies in 8th innings too since you said it applies EVERY TIME. Are you trolling or scared to answer?
Do you think he means that every time encompasses every inning of every game? Sure there are times when a closer should pitch the 8th inming of a close game his team is tied or winning. Too many managers don't do that.
