If you notice most divisions have rivals setup...

    Marlins - Rays
    Rangers - San Antonio
    Diamondbacks - Vegas
    Nashville - Reds
    Phillies - Pirates
    Etc....

Nah, Astros have to continue to keep the Yankees out of the World Series for another decade.

Holy smokes, that's a lot of expansion teams. Once the DH goes away, I'm not sure I get the distinction between the leagues anymore. The AL has been pretty good to the Houston Astros, honestly. They're infinitely more nationally relevant than they have ever been in their franchise's history.

Yeah no way they expand by 6 teams, that’s insane.

They might expand by 2 teams, and TB and OAK might relocate.

    AL North:
    Blue Jays
    Red Sox
    Yankees
    Twins

    AL East:
    Orioles
    Rays
    Cleveland
    Tigers

    AL Central:
    Astros
    Rangers
    Royals
    White Sox

    AL West:
    Angels
    Mariners
    Portland (formerly Oakland)
    Vegas (expansion)

    NL North:
    Montreal (formerly Miami)
    Mets
    Nats
    Phillies

    NL East:
    Braves
    Reds
    Pirates
    Nashville (expansion)

    NL Central:
    Cubs
    Cardinals
    Brewers
    Rockies

    NL West:
    Dodgers
    Giants
    Padres
    Diamondbacks

Any realignment that doesn’t put the Astros in a division with all teams located in the same time zone would likely cause me to go postal.

I'm fine with being in the AL. I love making the Yankees / Red Sox fans miserable.

Bring the Dodgers to the AL and move the Angels.

I was furious when they seemingly forced the Astros to the AL.

I totally dig it now. Love beating up on the Sox and Yankees.

Would not shock me in the least if those two teams would push for the Astros to go back to the NL. :p

I have made my peace with the AL and the DH. Yordan has helped a little with that.

As others have said, I'd be shocked if MLB ever added more than two teams. I can envision a scenario where, like the NBA, they explore expansion as a solution to pandemic-related revenue losses. Although Las Vegas is alluring to every pro league, it seems like they'd have to build an MLB-only stadium to handle the summers and I wonder if the city would do that after building an arena and an NFL stadium.

As far as relocation goes, I can see Oakland moving to Portland and Tampa moving to Montreal. Montreal is a gorgeous city that once supported the Expos before a perfect storm of the 1994 strike, awful ownership and a decrepit stadium doomed the team.

Forming rivalries with the Yankees and Red Sox is better for the Astros brand. Astros have already been successful in making Yankee fans despise the Astros. That's a good thing.

Just thinking how Astros and Yankees is now considered a marquee series that the entire baseball world pays attention to. Moving to the AL turned out to be a good thing

True story, on of my reason flights from Chicago to South Korea, my captain revealed to me that he was a Yankees fan and I told him that I was a Astros fan..... His reaction is what sold me on the Astros need to stay in the AL and haunt the Yankees.

    I don't miss pitchers batting.

I do miss beating Da Cubs, with a stick.
I do miss the Cards rivalry.
I do not give two sh*ts our "rivalry" with the Rangers.
I would not miss the in the in-division West Coast road games.
