It's funny that you have to prove the most likely case - natural origin, but otherwise accept the far less likely scenario (lab leak). There is more evidence pointing to natural origin and while not definitive these guys still push the other hypothesis.

It's ridiculous to how much the politics impacts the views of people like @basso or @dachuda86 , to the point where anyone who takes a more scientific approach is all of a sudden a sympathizer to the enemy.

I’m not a conservative, so that’s ridiculous. Plus there’s an article from a former NY Times science writer where he admits that countering Trump along with believing scientist with vested interests were the two reasons the initial reporting was so bad.
I’d also like you to point out anything in that article that counters points I’ve made.
