It takes a lot for pizza to be horrible.

I will say Chicago is one of the top 3 U.S. pizza destinations.

Once you have really good pizza for awhile, bad pizza really sticks out.

I did not realize how bad pizza was in Texas (and other spots) until I lived in NY, Chicago and other spots.

Chicago IMO has the best pizza in the USA. There is also more than one real "Chicago" pizza style. You can also get very good Detroit style pizza in Chicago because so many people from Detroit moved to the Chicago area 50 years ago.

NY has good pizza as well, but I personally prefer Providence and Philadelphia.

Phoenix has some places that are very good.... they get a lot of people from Chicago, NY and Las Vegas that set up there.

When I was a kid my mom used to take me to some downtown pizza place that had bull horns on the entrance. That was the best pizza.

I was going to say: have had pizza all over the US, and I really thought Star Pizza stood up.
Pizza in San Francisco is not very good.

Sorry but no, at least not in this case. Respect for your food knowledge but unless a lot has changed in the last 6-12 months, pizza in Texas sucks… which is okay, cannot have everything.

Nope I've eaten pizza from Italy to California and all points in between, you can find it, you just have to know where to get it Austin and Houston and SA and Dallas have some spots.. I will say that a good Chicago Deep Dish is possibly my favorite. The standard "NY Slice" is pretty terrible.

Anyplace with a wood burning horno is solid. Making pizza is not complicated. Make dough, make sauce, throw some stuff on it, that's it.

I doubt it sucks EVERYWHERE though, lol. I'm not too picky when it comes to pizza though.

I don’t know, I haven’t found any really good pizza in Texas and have gone to some of the restaurants rated highly.
