Inside the NBA is offically the best damn sports show on television. EJ looks pissed, but its all play. Basically when they came back from commercial Baron Davis said "Man Charles you are right about one thing, EJ is total dork off the air", or something to that extent. EJ got PISSED and Baron was just saying he was getting back at him for saying "How's the fishing going". EJ went on to walk off the staff, Baron moved into his seat, Charles was shouting "We've been trying to kick him out the past 3 years!". EJ went on to chill with the camera staff, walked up to the second floor of the set while they were talking, funny stuff. EDIT: Looks like EJ is back in his seat.
now he's working the camera. i can't believe how much i've not watched this show this year b/c it's always so good. the chemistry doesn't get much better. i don't know if they still do it but the thursday night theater where they would introduce then talk about whatever crappy movie tnt was showing that night was always hilarious.
My favorite show right now is 'Curb Your Enthusiasm.' Not as funny as 'Chappelle's Show,' but Larry David has that iconoclastic bent that makes it more of a affirmation or event than a "show." The fact that it is 80% improvised confirms its brilliance. But, "Inside?" My God. What those three men, and the Turner staff do ... amazing. A brilliant, brilliant show. Do yourself a favor and (re)-read Bill Simmons' take on the show. http://espn.go.com/page2/s/simmons/020513.html We have all our favorite network hits in syndication, and the cable hits availible over the Internet ... but, damn, what I'd give for tapes of what those three have done since May of 2000. (the best part may be the fact that Ernie Johnson Jr. is one of the most sincere, inspiring, compassionate and remarkable men you'll ever meet)
Actually, I meant to say that "CYE" isn't as funny as "Chappelle's Show," but, eh, forget it ... "Inside" rules.
