Aside from a nice 5 game series between the Mavs and Jazz in the first round, this has to be the worst playoff basketball I have ever seen in the western conference.

Blowout games, 4-1 victories, sweeps galore...

    This is so boring.

Kings beat Suns in 4, with most games decided by 10 or more points. Then, the Lakers sweep the Blazers in three easy games. That was supposed to be one of the best first round series ever. Yeah, right.

The Spurs didn't have much trouble with the Wolves, disposing of them in 4.

Then we get a nice 4-1 Spurs victory over the Mavs, with the series decided after game 3. Most games are blowouts. This was supposed to go at least 6 games.

The Lakers sweep the Kings, with at least 3 of the four games decided before the fourth quarter. Mind you, this series was expected to go to 7.

Finally, the Lakers are on the verge of sweeping the Spurs. The first game was never close, and the second was filled with the most revolting physical play imaginable. I can't wait to see how the Lakers complete the sweep of the Spurs. Each game will probably be decided by 15+ points. Now that is exciting playoff action.

Meanwhile, the east has produced two game 7s, with countless close games, and some of the most spectacular performances of all time. The Bucks-Sixers series will likely end up going to 6 or 7. The east has been thrilling.

I miss the Rockets and Sonics of old. These teams have always produced spectacular series. This is crap.

The Spurs and Lakers series has been very well played. It may be boring in the sense that it looks like a sweep right now, but still a very entertaining series to watch IMO. But I'll agree that the rest of the west playoffs has been very boring.

It is boring because the Lakers are that dominant and the Spurs were dominant until they ran into the Lakers.
