Nah you really don’t. You seem to to think Harden doesn’t have to play another game and that his ring means something, it does not.

That's not what I am saying at all. What I am saying is that your take that he should be embarrassed and chose the wrong team is utter bullshit.

If they continue to win without him and in dominate fashion then I would disagree.

And you wonder why people are giving you ****.

I guess you are self centered and selfish and think Harden is the same.

KD will still kill them regardless…Idk why 32 points on 18 shots is such an outlandish performance for someone like KD…it’s what he does…they held KD in check in game 1, and it didn’t matter anyways because they were out there shooting 6-30 from 3 so they still couldn’t keep up with BK…KD has 55/50/91 shooting splits this postseason, and was almost 50/40/90 for the regular season…if he’s missing shots, then it’s mainly on him just being off, not because PJ who always gets cooked by him, Jrue who’s several inches shorter, or Giannis who rarely guards him and has been getting humiliated the few times he has guarded him are gonna truly bother KD

Kyrie didn’t need to have some really good game…game 2 was over after the 1st quarter…nobody watching game 2 thought Kyrie was playing bad, he simply didn’t have to do much

ok, and they have lowered Kyrie’s efficiency compared to the regular season in these 1st 2 games, it hasn’t mattered

their offense actually needs more work than their defense…there is no way in hell they would ever play enough defense to overcome 6-30 shooting from 3 or having a 72 offensive rating in the halfcourt and a 91 offensive rating overall for an entire game…BK will drop at least around 115 on most nights regardless of the defense that is played unless they just so happen to have some random night where their shooting is way off

sorry, but if Harden is better than KD, it has never been by some huge amount…they are not in different tiers which is why it sounds ridiculous that Harden should catch heat and actually feel embarrassed that the Nets are beating the Bucks without him when u think the Nets would still beat them without question if KD was the one injured

That means the Nets don’t actually need KD right?

Its not self centered and selfish to want to be valued on your team, especially when you are a competitive athlete. You are frankly being an *******. Dont call me selfish and self centered when you dont know me and we are talking about this in the confines of a competitive sport.

for people doubting harden's value to the Nets. if it wasn't for james, the nets/durant would have rushed back to play from an injury = potentially reinjuring it.

Harden was the rock that allowed durant to fully rest, recover and carry the team into earning a ring.
It's a team sport, like unless harden didn't contributed whatsoever idk y he would feel that his legacy is not improved or that he didn't deserve the ring.

Bucks fans in shambles…this must be the acceptance phase

Woke up this morning annoyed. This will sound harsh because some of it was in the early days but Midds/Giannis have now been involved in playoff games/series where we once lost by 60 to the Bulls at home, were one of the rare teams who couldn't close out a perennial choker Toronto Raptors despite leading the series and taking home court advantage, got blown out to a young Celtics team in a game 7, lost 4 straight to Toronto while leading by double digits in multiple games, blew games late in multiple games on route to getting gentlemen swept by Miami and now falling apart again against Brooklyn. We can rightfully blame coaches and in part inexperience but maybe they are who they are at this point.

    sheesh

Don't overcomplicate this, our 2 best players just can't have an offense run through them. Giannis is legitimately a stupid as heck basketball player. No ifs ands or buts, he is really ******* dumb on the court. Probably bottom 20 basketball IQ in the entire NBA but his physical gifts, handle, and aggression make him very effective much of the time. However you cannot run an offense through him. You cannot let him be a decision maker, he legit SUCKS at those things. Any negative you could think of to describe Westbrook also applies to Giannis except Giannis is even worse as a playmaker/decision maker. It's going to be very hard to ever win anything if you're letting a player like that choose how possessions play out because they simply don't understand why they aren't having success on the court.

Khris just is miscast. He should never be more than the 3rd option as a creator in any playoff lineup. Go into the Middleton thread and you can find posts that are 5 years old talking about how Khris can't dribble if there is any ball pressure on him or traffic around and that he is also prone to just being totally nonchalant on the court leading to unforced turnovers. Again, you cannot let a player like that operate as a on ball decision maker with any regularity, not only is it careless turnovers that should never happen, but just basic reads that he is not capable of making.

There are definitely failings on the roster construction to not recognize and thus prioritize these issues that have been completely obvious for years, but there is also coaching blame too. However most of the blame IMO is on our best players just being dumb. If you're going to win MVPs and get max deals, you are going to take the criticism and rightfully so when you play like a dumb, clueless middle schooler in NBA playoff games.

If I'm the Nets, I rest Harden until the finals unless it looks like the Sixers are a serious threat.

KD and Kyrie will have to put in extra work, but that's why KD sat out most of the season. That's why Kyrie was allowed to vanish for a week now and then. They rested for this while Harden carried the team.

By the time the finals roll around Harden will hopefully be rested and can come in and bring some fresh legs. He can be the best player in that series. And if that transpires, whether he wins FMVP or not, nobody will dispute that he earned the ring too.

I think the Nets without Harden will encounter adversity in the rest of this series and/or the next one, and could definitely use Harden. If not, damn what a team.

nets' defense don't have any answer for the barrage of 3's that yannis will bestow upon them in g3.

Nets made it to the playoffs as the 7th seed in 2020 without KD and Harden...and Kyrie only played 20 games. Just FYI.

yea I think coming into this series, the Bucks give up the most open 3s in the league, which seems like a bizarre scheme in the modern NBA

edit: totally misread your comment lol
