I’m not a believer in random luck, so I won’t hold it against Dream if we don’t land a top four or applaud him if we end up with the #1 pick, regardless of the outcome he DESERVES to be the face representing the Rockets!!! The keyboard hate in our culture rules the internet. People are so unhappy with themselves. They look for scapegoats in even positive events. This is just a microcosm of that life. Dream is such a great representative of your city and the Rockets. I hope the top pick is for the Rockets because Dream's smile is so infectious maybe it will cure a few of the negative Nancys here.

Steve Francis was huge getting the 1st Pick. Selecting Yao Ming as the 1st Pick Huge odds against the Rockets landing the 1st Pick. The Warriors were supposed to Land Yao Ming. The Warriors have the Largest Chinese Fanbase living in San Francisco. The Value of the Rockets went up because of Yao. Jersey Sales, Commercials.
Well... the entire draft lottery is a PR event, so there is no evil subplot here. PR is NOT inherently good or bad. If it wasn't a PR event, they would simply run the random number generator and post the results on NBA.com.
