not especially cheap by Mexican standards but still pretty cheap by US standards, you can get a decent room for like 60-90 bucks a night in a small nice hotel, even less in the off season. If you want to go upscale you can pay up to 200, but that's not really necessary.

I've heard about the place for years and I know it used to be really inexpensive and a great place to take Spanish lessons. Always wanted to go there and do that, but never have made it. I may have missed my "window".
