To be fair, they overachieved that first season. That team played closer to their level the following season. Then for the past 11 years, the Mavs haven't exactly been a great team or expected to win much.

Mavs will have an interesting summer. Hardaway Jr will be a FA. JRich has a 11 million dollar player option that I'm guessing he will not renew. WCS will probably not be resigned. If they don't resign any of those three, they could open up about 20+ million in cap space I think.

Maybe Lowry would take a 3 year 70 million offer?
