I hold Gilbert in the same category like other two. Carmelo is in it too

Another 1st round exit? This time to Denver missing both Murray and Barton? Tough scene

at least he actually bothered to show up in this series which is often not the case

People talk about defense when Harden was here but man Portland doesn't even try with their squad.

It's definitely an issue when 40% of your starting lineup plays zero defense. They need to break that back court up.

Sounds like he's bout ready to bolt.

Portland should have traded CJ YEARS ago, those two are completely redundant, but they were content with just being playoff mainstays.

So he's going to be the hottest thing on the trade market...watch the Lakers get him for a bag of chips and a stick of old gum.

Seriously though, he's going to go for a high price because of all these dummazz teams that skipped on Harden, Miami, Boston, those guys, gonna be desperate to rectify their mistake.

Blazers are in a tough spot. They actually have a decent roster, contra what people are saying. Nurkic is an above average center, we know RoCo as a 2-way player, CJ is a good backcourt guard, Powell is a very good guard, and Simmons, Jones Jr, Little, etc. Are solid and developing well.

The idea that this team is Dame and a bunch of scrubs has always been fiction. Dame is a GREAT scorer, but he's not a player that can control a defense or integrate others into the offense. He settles too often for near half court threes, and when he's off he has no other way to get others going (he doesn't draw fouls well, is not an elite driver or passer, etc.). In the regular season he has too many "meh" games where his teams lose to inferior competition.

Not sure where Dame goes that'll give him a better supporting cast than this. He's a max player that will require a Harden-like haul, but will likely be looking at a team with an at-best second star marginally better than CJ but without the help of a Powell, Nurkic, RoCo, etc. Maybe he'll go east and get a better first round matchup and shift his playoff losing to the second round.

The Blazers have traded and made moves to give Dame the best chance to win they can. Because of those moves, it's likely they'll be worse next year as some of their players will jet in FA. The worst move they can be blamed for is sticking with Stotts and not getting a better coach. But I think the idea that Dame will find more success elsewhere given his price is probably more fiction.

Harden just has a lot of could of should of would of. Harden better win it or he'll be AI-esque.

except harden is closer to jerry west than he is to even say manu ginobili. Melo is an inefficient iso chucker who plays no defense. Harden is statistically the best all around guard since Michael Jordan. If you don’t believe me check Michael Jordan’s basketball reference page and scroll down to the section titled “similarity scores”. Harden along with cp3 are the only active players with a 10 yr peak and career match to jordan.

harden has led the league in win shares a whopping 5 times, and vorp 3 times. According to Neil Payne of 538 analytics harden is the only guard besides Jordan to lead the league in total RAPTOR war 3 straight seasons.

harden has more 40 point double doubles than player in history, only guard since Jordan to post 3 straight seasons with a PER above 29 for a full season

lillard and melo have never approached what harden has done. It’s quite comical that this comparison is even brought as harden is currently in the middle of setting the record for playoff box plus minus by a guard

You mean AI, the former league MVP who single-handedly carried a team of role players to the Finals?

What has Lillard ever really accomplished, other than making some half-court threes, and winning a couple first round series?

Don't have to imagine. He's played with Kyrie this season. Very similar abilities and stats including their atrocious defense.
