“Westworld” showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy are tackling another sci-fi thriller with the upcoming Hugh Jackman-led “Reminiscence” from Warner Bros. Pictures who has just released the first trailer for the project.

Set in a near-future where sea levels have risen and the Miami coast has become partially submerged, Jackman plays a private investigator of the mind who navigates the darkly alluring world of the past by helping his clients access lost memories.

His life is forever changed when he takes on a new client, Mae (Rebecca Ferguson) as a simple matter of lost and found becomes a dangerous obsession. As he fights to find the truth about her disappearance, he uncovers a violent conspiracy.

Thandiwe Newton, Cliff Curtis, Marina de Tavira, Daniel Wu, Nico Parker, Angela Sarafyan, Mojean Aria, Brett Cullen, and Natalie Martinez. Joy makes her feature directing debut on the film which will open in cinemas on September 3rd and streams exclusively for one month on HBO Max at the same time.
