This may be the start of a losing trend.

Perez is averaging 9 pitches an inning through 7 innings.

At this pace Perez will have the third lowest pitch count for a complete game in the last 20 years... Kyle Henrdicks only needed 81 a few years ago ... I remember Maddux 25 years ago had a 77 pitch complete game.

Seriously. No Tucker or Correa? Scheduled rest?! Just forfeit the game if your OF is Jones, Straw, and McCormick. Save some time.

Yeah, the bottom half of the lineup that old Dusty chose to trot out there today was a tad bit shitty...

So the replacement players are hitting 0.333 for this game and have a walk. Yep, they are the reason the Astros haven't scored so far.

Altuve, Bregman, Yordan going 0-11 didn't help much. Diaz erased 1 of the Astros 3 RISP all by himself. Bregman 0-2 with RISP.

The split squad lineup didn't help either, but this was collective offensive putrescence.

No. The replacement players are 2-12 and have seen a grand total of 32 pitches in 12 AB’s

Correcting my mistake. I included straw into those stats but he’s essentially a replacement player

Taylor looking to join Paredes by getting his ERA under 6

    Diaz 2 for 3 with a walk
    Stubbs 1 for 3
    McCormick 1 for 3
    Jones 0 for 3.

    That's 4 for 12 with a walk.

Taylor got 2 swinging strikes on his slider that inning. That brings his total up to 2 for the season.

If we want to be totally correct about this, it's Jones, Stubbs and either Diaz or McCormick (1 would have been in LF regardless)

Is Dusty's lineup management worse than Obrien's clock management?

Jones is in LF if you don't consider an injury replacement as a replacement.

That means the true replacements are 4 for 9 with a walk. Dammit Dusty.

Altuve, Bregman and Yordan were jealous, so they took the day off too.

I tried to tell y’all to bet the farm on Boston today. A good team like Boston getting swept in a four game series? When I saw the Skeeters lineup ol’ Dusty put out there, it was a lock!!!
