Need to gmo some basic food, carrots or something, so that they give off a smell through your skin/sweat that mosquitos can't stand but isn't detectable to people. Then condense it in pill form.

You outdoor types, I caught this snake, what species is it? I'll release it at a pond if it's not poisonous or kill it if it is. I have always killed snakes, but this one is bigger than the others and I don't want the mess if I could avoid it.

I put my Google lens on your pic and got this. Neither are poisonous.

Alright, thank you. I'll go release it after my kids play with it.

I can't say it's correct. That's just what popped up.

Good rule of thumb: if it has rattles, kill it. Red and yellow touching stripes, kill it. If it is a copperhead, kill it. If it has a white mouth, kill it.

Other than that leave them alone. Snakes are cool.

Oh, and don't let your kids lick it or anything, reptiles are nasty with salmonella.

I still kill them, but this one is close to 2 feet long so I'll let it go. I thought it was someone's escaped pet, but it didn't have boa or python markings.

Don't kill them, very beneficial for the environment and pest control and such.

I realize that you gave descriptions so they can be quickly & easily identified.

Does "white mouth" mean Cottonmouth - Water Moccasin?

No set of rules are every 100%, but the two ways I heard that help identify poisonous snakes are (1) if the head shape is more triangular and (2) if the eyes are cat-like (slits, poisonous) versus round (non-poisonous).

    From Sberia, similar to Alaska:

The year breaks down as 10 months of hellish cold, 2 months of mosquito.

The Dynatrap mosquito trap I got caught around 20-30 mosquitoes in 30 hours.

Not disappointing, but also not incredible either. There are still a lot of mosquitoes in the backyard.

I am hoping it'll keep it up and I'll notice a dramatic drop in mosquito population after a few weeks. A full mosquito lifecycle is around 2 weeks. So I expect fairly minimal impact for at least 2 weeks.

Stay under a medium-powered fan. Mosquitos are weak flyers and can't land on you while a fan blows on you.

Kkeep moving. It's harder for them to land on you while you're in motion

The Harris County Mosquito and Vector Control Division does not circulate trucks to kill mosquitos unless there is evidence that the mosquitos carry a disease. Don't count on their help.

    Spray your yard with cutter

Eliminate all standing water in your property and ask your neighbors to do the same (although I find that mosquitos are perfectly happy breeding in normal-height St. Augustine grass).
