I need stats to prove this, vs the rest of MLB.

Nivaldo needs to be able to finish the 8th and 9th without giving up the lead to give the real relief pitchers more rest.

I'm confused by the game recap on that one. Care to elaborate? I was in Sugarland today.

A's lose to Seattle in the 10th inning.

    Astros 1/2 a game back.

Diaz stopped so they couldn't tag him and get the force out double play. They had to go to 1B which removed the force play allowing the run to score, even with the eventual tagout DP.

It also depends on what close games is defined as. 1 run? The Astros have been a good baseball team for a number of years now so I suspect that what comes along with that is a higher than normal percentage of games that just aren't close. Close games are also more subject to luck or randomness than a 5-1 game for example and they are probably played more often by teams that aren't great. Or I could be full of ****. Point is, I don't think the Astros are bad at close games.

lulz @ those Red Sox commentators.
    Who is their manager?

Urquidy with another nice, stellar performance. He said in the post game that he watched a lot of video of himself while recovering.

Guess I need to go to the game and assert my dominance on opposing fanbases more often

Boston fans are **** and have been for a long time. Boston commentators are **** and have been for a long time. And that goes for all sports in that ****hole NE section. They deserve each other to keep on churning that perpetual dumbassery.

Astros are 4-7 in 1-run games and 4-3 in 2-run

This doesn't include either L vs the Padres that were lost in extra innings but were 7 and 3 runs

Kyle Tucker is one of the most bizarre baseball players you will ever see. He doesn’t look physically cracked out like Hunter Pence, but his game is just as bizarre. His swing, I can’t even really describe why it looks wrong. It just does. The best I can think of is Kyle Tucker looks like what a right handed batter would look like if they tried to swing lefty. It’s so awkward and flimsy and disgusting 95% of the time, but then he makes contact and the ball is getting tattooed, so whatever.

Steady rocking that .240 average and .780s ops and he’s gonna produce a 35/100 season. Right.
