Brag about what? How they had zero pressure on them last season to do anything, and that whatever success they got in the playoffs was basically playing with house money? Or should Jimmy be bragging about, when faced with actual pressure on the Heat to repeat their run to the Finals, they ended up getting swept in the first round? Or maybe Jimmy should be bragging about how, before the first round started this postseason, he said he was "stupidly locked in" to the playoffs, and then severely underperformed for 4 straight games? If you consider that run to the Finals a significant accomplishment for Butler, that's really really sad. If the Heat was such a big deal, the media would still be talking about how last year's EC finalist got knocked out of the first round. By all means, it should be a bigger story. But, notice how no one is talking about the Heat getting swept anymore. No one cares about Miami. No one cares about Jimmy Butler.
Harden is a pure read and react player, maybe the best there ever was, not a heart and force of will player. In the 4th quarter he is going to facilitate open shots or look for what the defense is giving him. He is not going to take mid range hero shots. He is not a risk taker. He plays Moreyball. Moreyball wants the risk of the open player taking the shot, not the best player dominating. I also don't think Harden has the athleticism to take those Kobe shots OVER double teams. He won't take over at the end of any games but he will give you a chance to be competitive in every game. That's why he needs an alpha #2 like a CP (or a Westbrook..... who can actually play basketball.)
All these fools rooting for Harden now when he's not on the Rockets. Y'all get your priorities straight.
