Such a shame that this band is only known for 1 song back in the 90's. They are so much better than that. Still all original members even after all these years. And Edie....oh Edie....that smile......looking and sounding just as beautiful as ever. Curse you, Paul Simon. #MajorNintiesCrush
My wife got in an elevator in NYC about 25yrs ago and in her words there was this "old man and what looked to be his daughter and grandchild" in with her. My wife proceeded with a regular conversation over the baby. After they got out, my wife's sister was dismayed by my wife's conduct because it was Paul Simon & Edie Brickell and their daughter. I still laugh at this story because my wife always engages in conversations with famous people without knowing who they are..like the time she was convinced Renee Zellweger was someone she went to college with. As for Edie Brickell, have you seen her work with Steve Martin? It's a few years old now, but it's Good stuff
New Modest Mouse goes pretty hard. Which surprised me to be honest. I feel like people don't realize how old they really are. Dino Jr. never changes. Love it.
So these are two new tracks from a forthcoming 4 song EP. The first is apparently a leftover from the days of Chinese Democracy that's been reworked. The second is apparently where they're at today... Spoiler It's weird, but I think I like it.
So many Easter Eggs to all of their songs. I love this video. Ones I have noticed: The Live Wire from Livewire. Cracked Wall from Between the Cracks Angus at the top of a stairwell from Who Made Who Statue of a man with his balls covered for the multiple times Bon wrote about balls A statue head getting banged on the ground (headbanger) A huge bell fron Hell's Bells The A back on Angus' hat Malcolm & Bon pics The Cannon from For those about to rock The video screens from Blow up my video The album covers from TNT, Dirty Deeds, Highway to Hell, etc. With the finale of all the AC/DC artists being in a visage on the Sistene Chapel. THAT'S the way to do it as old guys doing new stuff.
Martin Gore Love that you can be up there in age and still put something out a little more experimental.
Although not from this year, the last 2 Bruce Springsteen studio albums, "Western Stars" and "Letter to You" rank right up there with some of his very best studio albums - I am not kidding about this.
Love that she became famous by being drunk one night and saying she could sing, so the Bohemians let her come up on stage to shut her down. She rocked and the rest is history. And it is 90's...
