Our old one went t*** up last night. Recommendations for a quality coffee maker? We don’t do espresso or k-cups.
Any of these should do. We've had the Oxo On 9 Cup for years and it has been good. https://sca.coffee/certified-home-brewer
Cuisinart's CPO-800 is currently $130 on woot, or thermal carafe version without the hot plate for $140 at amazon. The cuisinarts are SCA certified like the Technivorm & Bonavita, with 3 year warranty (TV 5 year, BV 2 year). ePEBO is $90 on bodum's site rn. I've had a non electric one, siphons are fun to use, less so to clean: If you have a kettle though, you cannot do better for capacity, control, everlasting simplicity & easy total cleaning than a $20 pour over. Bodum's 34oz are often $15 at target and amazon, and they have even bigger (>50oz!)... just don't get their double walled version. Ofc not for everyone's routine; sometimes you just need a machine. Spoiler
I compared these two, opted for the Bonavita since it was cheaper and seemed just as good... https://bonavitaworld.com/products/8-cup-one-touch-1 https://technivorm.com/products/glass/kb-741-brushed/ Comparison review: Another review comparing a newer Bonavita model (we have had ours for years)... Nice... The OXO's must have come out after we did our search (choosing the Bonavita). It looks and performs pretty close to the Bonavita and can be found for well less... so I'd look seriously at this one if I was in the market. Oxo Brew 8-Cup Coffee Maker review: Oxo's latest coffee maker is our new favorite drip machine The Oxo Brew 8-Cup Coffee Maker outdoes the Bonavita Connoisseur, and at a lower price. https://www.cnet.com/reviews/oxo-8-cup-coffee-maker-review/
Mine just broke too. Looking for one without plastic. Bought a bodum pour over but they take forever and have to nuke the coffee to warm it up again. Would get a percolator but the reviews make it seem like the wrong one will leak or have some other dsaster
Plus one for syphon. I’ve been using a hario for the past few years. Best cup of coffee I’ve ever had plus they’re easy to clean because you clean it every use (just rinsing). They also have a novelty aspect. If you get a non electric one like mine I suggest using a teapot to pre heat the water and a butane burner for the heat source. Great cup of coffee I use mine daily threw out my Keurig.
