The NY attorney general's office said Tuesday that it is conducting a criminal investigation into former President Donald Trump's business empire,expanding what had previously been a civil probe. NY Attorney General opens criminal investigation into Trump Organization "We have informed the Trump Organization that our investigation into the company is no longer purely civil in nature,", announced by the NYAG office's spokesman, Levy. "We are now actively investigating the Trump Organization in a criminal capacity, along with the Manhattan DA," Levy said. James' investigators are working with the Manhattan district attorney's office, which has been conducting a criminal investigation into Trump and his company, the Trump Organization, for two years. James and District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. are both Democrats. James' office offered no explanation for what prompted the change in its approach to the investigation or why it chose to announce it publicly.
it must be a tough decision for donald as to whom to throw under the bus - eric or jared. eric is clearly the dumbest, most useless trump kid and his least favorite...but if jared goes to jail then he has ivanka all to himself. seriously though, nobody with a trump last name is going to jail...even though all of them should. weisselberg will take the brunt of it and he will do his time for the family like a good little soldier.

I’m sure the plan for a long time has been to have Weisleberg be the fall guy in exchange for making him and his family set for life. Given all the dark gop billionaire money floating around I’m sure they’ll find some way to pay him off so they can protect their gold goose cleric. I doubt anyone goes to jail though unless something like murder happened that they can clearly put squarely on the Trump crime family. If it’s the tax crimes and other white collar crimes, it’ll cost Trump his company, but again I’m sure he can just turn around and go work for a GOP donor making maybe more money. He’ll file bankruptcy, leave his distressed assets that are worth nothing now to the government, keep Mar a Lago maybe, and then get a board member spot at FoxNews or something where they find ways to shove money at him as a new source of income that the government cannot seize in exchange for rallies and fake presidential runs. It’ll just be like Sam Rothstein getting named Food and Beverage Manager at the Tangiers. Trump is their political cash cow and they’ll protect him all the way to his grave.
