Good for you. I wish more people had that realization. There are way too many people that keep doubling down on risky short term trades. Honestly, sometimes I just look at the trajectory of my 401k just to remind me that simple diversified investment can produce great returns with much lower downside risk. Most of the jokers on reddit would've made more money just parking everything in a standard ETF.

I'm curious to see how low BTC will go, it seems everything is happening all at once - Elon last week, the overall market, and then China's news on BTC certainly adds to the overall FUD, it'll probably continue to be the typical cycle up/down/up etc with the entire crypto market following btc. I see the flippening remarks similar to when everyone is into an investment thinking it'll just keep climbing, as soon as you see people who are talking it up like it's new news and they haven't ever invested prior to this you know the bubble is near.

    Ada flash crashed to 1.01.

Is there a us exchange to automate stop loss or bargain bin orders?

Brain starting to wheeze on info overload...

I know on Binance a few years back this was a good play, like I'd set really low orders on ETH/BTC/hot alt coin, I personally didn't get all that lucky but I saw some guy get some orders filled for ETH iirc in the $10 range that popped up to ~$100-200 (I might have the values off but I've seen it done and it was pretty awesome).

I know I saw someone else basically set multiple scaling orders good till cancel and would set 50% at some realistic entry and then load the rest further down in multiple orders. If you do this, you definitely just want to pay attention to the market and adjust entries based on plan. Obviously if just looking for a lotto type play from flash crash then it probably won't matter

Regardless I think it's a good strategy if you have money on the sidelines.

everything crypto traders are saying right now.....same stuff penny stock traders on twitter/stocktwits say after a pump and dump.

"xyz is a steal right now"
    "buy the dip!"
    "overused warren buffet quote"
    "hedgies want your cheap shares"

    The flippening is a meme.

I suppose it’s obnoxious if you don’t like ethereum, but, trolls notwithstanding, it’s discussed because ethereums’s revenue increases at a rate now that can’t be ignored, while finally getting institutional interest.

But it doesn’t even matter. If you’re bullish crypto the thing to do is hold both or rotate between them at the extremes to maximize returns. Neither is going away.

I personally find ethereum more interesting to follow and discuss, because more development happens there, but I’ll dump it all for btc if I think that’s the trade to make.

I kind of loosely used the term instead of directly being btc/eth - like on general comments by people on any hot coin being the new coin to take over the market/next big thing that will pass btc.

Directly referencing just those 2 - I am not against eth or the changes that should eventually come out, and if just looking at btc/eth I think they kind of complement each other, like I personally want both to do good because it makes trading a lot easier in other alts.

This article highlights some of it for others:
    https://finance.yahoo.com/news/bitcoin-ethereum-flippening-likely-scenario-200422044.html

My comment definitely wasn't referencing anyone in this thread in investing, I'm just comparing it to stocks where by the time all of the general public is in on some penny/otc stock it's time to move on and buy-in again after the dip (if it's a real concept) or invest elsewhere etc. Obviously I don't see eth/btc as an otc type investment

    This is how I feel.
The general public interest is key. Tooo much and it's time to move on.

so it sounds like we both hold crypto. So we’re both bullish enough that we expect crypto to make us money in the future.

It seems the differences we have are:

One: I think this drawdown is an opportunity to add more, and you prefer to hodl btc and whatever else you like.

Two: I like etherum and you don’t.

    Do I have that right?

    Look into FTX.us

Great full featured exchange. Does not crash. Low trading fees. Great liquidity. Good UI. I haven’t had to use their customer service, but supposedly it’s solid.

FTX doesn’t don’t have ada though if that’s a need for you. Kraken does, and also has a full featured platform.

I am a cryptoidiot but why the hate towards ETH from BTC people?
ETH 2.0 should be way greener right?

That's like asking why Ford and Chevy people bicker, why we really need 2 threads for crypto, or why people always ask "is it going to go up?" and "when should I sell?". :D

Don't worry, maybe you'll get another chance soon. lol.

only difference is that it’s really a one way street. 99.9% of people who like ethereum also like bitcoin.

Where did I say I won't add more?
This is a perfect time to add any crypto you like, I'm telling that everyone online and in real life and have been saying the same after the 2017 meltdown.
