Pedro Leon at CF would be a upgrade. Why not call him up. Just try him out.

They did get caught banging on trash cans loud enough that their cheating was recorded.

Tucker doesn't appear to have a weak arm to me.

Arm is not weak, he's struggled in the past with taking proper routes and setting himself up with momentum to make strong throws. He has gotten better at it.

Can we rename the thread "Let Baker's contract just run out"?

Given how well Tucker has performed defensively in RF it's odd that they haven't at least tried a Brantley/Tucker/Diaz OF to see how feasible it is.

While many of us here have given up on Straw, I don't think the Astros have just yet.

If your starting rotation had prime Keuchel, Greg Maddux and Orel Hersheiser you could get away with the worst OF in history for 3 out of 5 games. The other 2 starters would probably mutiny.

It's hard to believe he is even less productive than Reddick, because Reddick had hit rock bottom for the most part. If he could at least match that production his speed would at least justify the decision. It just isn't happening. Straw is likely going to end up a pinch runner for the rest of his life. And sadly, he isn't even an elite base stealer yet.

Don’t want him fired. Just eased into retirement.

The OF with Lance Berkman and Daryle Ward says hi.

Although I agree with the general sentiment

Dusty needs to be fired now. We are are world series contender with an historic offense. We need to someone who can manage around our crappy bullpen. One poorly manage game in the playoffs can mean winning it all and losing.
