Webber was the best player on a team that got screwed out of a title (not that I would have put him on, I wouldn’t), but Horry was a role player…… is the horry HOF stuff some joke I’m not aware of? People actually think he’s a hall of fame player?
If Toni Kukoc and Jerry Sloan can get in, why not Horry?!?!?!?!? There are 12 HOF named for 2021 HOF Class. Watch Jeremy Lin get in, lol
One of his best decision ever, or he'd be stuck at 2. Anyone know who Dino Radja, check his HOF resume. If NBA count Don Mattingly's past record, he'd be 1st ballot.
Helps that he actually played more than 2 games in the NBA. Hell of a person and a hell of a coach! With a heart of a champion.
Yes he is. He played a key role in all the titles he won. Be it a big shot, block, or rebound. Put some respek on this man name.
I loved Horry as a Rocket and especially enjoyed all the big shots he made over the years, but he is not getting into the HOF. If he played in the regular season like he did in the playoffs I could see the logic but averages of 7ppg and 4.8 rpg are not getting anyone in the hall.
For Rudy and the 99ers Clutch city is eternal It was one team and one city moving Horry to the four and having him jack up threes was revolutionary this was a genius move unlike making PJ Tucker a center
I think Draymond Green is going in the Hall of Fame. Dennis Rodman is in. 13 rebs avg. Low in points. Robert Horry did change the game. First ones to stretch the Floor as a stretch four. I think Clifford Robinson also was a Stretch Four also back then. In the 90s.
There are too many HOF inductees so Donkey is safe in getting in. Another lock is Mike D'Antoni, if Rick Adelman went in.
Kukoc got in as more of a trailblazer for being new and comign from europe and getting the all star game as a unique point forward. Let alone he was an all star and legend mvp in europe, this is the basketball hall of fame not just hte nba. Maybe sloan was comparable, but he was an all star as a player with his jersey retired in Chicago. Mbut he was ennshrined for consistency and longevity as a Jazz coach with two finals appearances. Horry was a consistent winner, let alone hitting the most pressure filled shots and one fantastic pick H kept on winning and he was a massive part of it. He was loved as a utility knife for the rockets as a young player, he told Danny Ainge to F off shortly after like we've all wanted to, went on to win rings for the spurs where he was ital with a 21 point spree against the pistons, we all saw him get buckets for the for the lakers. He never had plays run for him or was featured, but he had the cojones of a superstar. He could give you that big block or steal, and often did . He was the Larry O'brien Utility knife. If you were around for clutch city, you know 'we believe', I believe Robert Horry has a unique case for the HOF. Ultimate coach to take his time to shine to highight everyone around him, what a leader. Rudy, we're lucky to have you as apart of the family.
There are many 60s Celtics in the Hall of Fame with worse stats and 0 memorable playoff moments simply because they won more than a handful of rings. It follows that Horry will eventually get in just as those Celtics eventually got in.
Having your power forward Shoot threes Was not normal back in the day until Rudy T made Horry do it Horry still did the traditional things on the defense side for the four like block shots , rebound , picks etc Is Dennis Rodman going to double team Dream? That makes Horry wide open. the Lakers and Spurs borrowed this concept to their championships ask Detroit and Sacramento about Horry
Yeah, Robert Big Shot Bob Horry needs to get in. I am sorry, but look up the work clutch in the dictionary, and you will see his photo.
