Great speech, coach. When you talked about the fans and Houston it was like you were speaking directly to me.

Let’s break down every part of that speech. Robert Horry mention, the apology to OT and Kenny Smith about substitutions, big cajones mentioned... what a great day! Well deserved entrance through the doors of THE Hall.

Congrats, but more than that, thank you for what you’ve done for me as a fan.

I was so distracted by (what I thought was) the omission of Horry, I had to go back and rewatch the whole thing again. Great speech by Rudy. Even Carl Herrera got props.

One big omission Scottie Pippen, not really. Clearly, Rudy T remembers who loved him and who dissed him. Robert Horry deserves to be HOF, 7 rings and shots that gave Lakers something we have.

Best Rockets coach of all time

He was smart enough to play Dream as center
We know later coaches aren’t this smart

It was on ESPN but i.d.i.o.t. when that hits YouTube. Rudy deserves countless threads.

Scottie Pippen was never a Rocket.

Was impressed that Rudy called Charles Barkley the most selfless player he ever coached. That’s a great compliment, and I never really knew how Rudy felt about Barkley, TBH.

Does anybody remember when he yelled out "kapaya" during a game?

    Always wondered what that means.

Makes me wonder who's going to play Rudy when they finally get around to making his biopic...

While I expected nothing less, I was tremendously moved.... Rudy's got so much heart and class. He oozes Houston. But, covered everyone else. To see how honored/humbled he was after being inexplicably passed over for 10 - 15 years...the emotion....so genuine....while finally showing his age more. Like many of you, I love Rudy dearly. Seeing him up there with Calvin and Dream, really hammers home what the Rockets are all about.
