Don't want to see Danuel House in a Rockets uniform ever again, Otto Porter or Reggie Bullock would be a solid addition. However, wouldn't offer anything over 2 years, $16 mil.

I posted John Collins name last week only to get the attention of CF
members. If they are not willing to trade away the likes of Augustin
for a big fish.....they will balk about clearing space / money for a small
    fish like D Thies.

RFA but the Lakers might let him go if someone put in a strong offer.

You could be right. Nothing surprises me with TF apart from LTS.

you are right better have a brinks truck with his name on it plus capital as in Draft picks and I would not make that type of deal give me
    Lauri Markkanen a younger version

Yes, Rockets have "Bird" rights on Olynyk.....but will TF be comfortable with going over?

    LTS is undefeated

Olynyk for sure. He has been a revelation with his scoring, passing and leadership. Got to bring him back and Nwaba on reasonable deals.

I think their main focus should be to try and make a trade for Beal.

No way they will go over the cap if we are still in tank mode.

Nine. Unless you have a chance at a top 5 player, you use the draft.

I feel top priority is center (Rookies probably won't fill the bill). Wood/Olynyk are PF's.

Free agency list at this position is not great. Some PF's just to help out as
patchwork/depth for the season as Olynyk/Wood are hurt often.

    Daniel Theis
Nerlens Noel (if done with Thibs)
    Rachaun Holmes
Frank Kaminsky (about same ast% as Olynyk......could run the same role as Olynyk)
WCS (one of Silas guys) I'm not fond of him but serves as patchwork.
    Alex Len
    Dedmon

Many or most of these are one year deals.....don't shoot 3's (except Frank K)......so not ideal.
Rookies and current players will fill out the rest.

*side note: I would like to trade for Aron Baynes. In highlights this season, still moves well.

There is more than enough offense at 5 spot.

    Rockets need elite defense.

    At every position.

Defensive improvement cannot be emphasized enough.

He isn't needed on a rebuilding team. Wall and he have bad chemistry.

I don't see the Rockets with that 5 spot defensive presence. AD would dominate us. All it takes
is one weak link to break the chain.

Wood is more of a help defender. Too light to body up with Embiid types.

I saw a game where both Wood and Olynyk started and I saw Olynyk guarding the big. It was either
Nurcic, Jokic, Ayton Vuc, Embiid, or KAT. Olynyk was being throw to the side as he was trying to block out.
Ended up trying to wrestle with that player with his back to the rim. I'm not pleased with our 5 spot defense.

Things can be deceptive this season. Missed 3's led to fast breaks which led to poor defensive stats.
Lower FG% means the teams that are out rebounding us force the pace vs us as our defense is not set.
Since Olynyk our FG% may have improved which means team have to go up vs our set defense. Harden
quite often would score, but if not at least he would get fouled. Then the opposition would have to inbound
    after.

How much are the numbers due to tank mode one way or another? My eye test says we need improvement
    at this spot.

    Like for us to trade for Baynes. He is 35 next season, numbers are down with Toronto;
but I would like for the Rockets to trade for his final year on his current contract. Fits Silas
    scheme well.

All I need is about 24 minutes a game from him.

Here he is in highlight this season. Still moves well.
