Likely the only ones TF is willing to pay small money for are:

    Kelly Olynyk
    David Nwaba
    Isaac Bonga

Do not get your hopes up for John Collins.

Is THIS the trade you want?

Why has Collins been on the trade block? I know the Hawks have been reluctant to give him the max. Is it because of a lack of defensive versatility? He does blocks shots well for a PF and he can rebound. Not everyone can be a unicorn. He can help Houston out.

    JC wants max money.

No way Rockets shell out that payday unless Wall is moved in SnT.

    Nor should they.

Yes, Collins is not a max player imo. He will get disgruntled if he doesn't get it. We need another center to relieve pressure off Wood. Noel is inconsistent, but he could come cheap. He isn't big, but he isn't afraid of contact. I'm ok with re-signing Kelly Olynyk to a 2 yr 22 M deal too.
I'm not sure about Bonga, but his skill set and height/ length is intriguing. Thanks for your reply.

I don't think it will work at all with EG's injuries. I hope he will make a good recovery.

I hope we don't commit dollars to anyone who is not a clear foundational piece.

I think we can create about $17m in cap this summer if we release everyone and maybe we should absorb a bad contract (no longer than 2 years) in exchange for a 1st.

We should definitely tank one more year, I would rather develop a prospect than bet on us outright acquiring a franchise cornerstone or putting undue pressure on Wood and Porter's development - both of them have holes in their game to work on.

I'd be ok with not signing anyone. Maybe just random lottery tickets like Khyri Thomas. If you can get a reclamation project like Lauri for a bargain that might be worth a shot but otherwise I'd wait till 22 or 23 to go for real free agents.

I'd be fine with those 3, not really interested in JC. We can keep our big powder dry until we're off the Wall contract and see who's in the mix then.

A 5 + M with the MLE for Noel would be okay with me, but that's not a must move by any means. Lauri doesn't play defense, otherwise he would be a good fit. I wouldn't sign him up.

A big NO to Otto Porter from me. Our defense suffered from Nwaba's loss. He needs to be a 100 percent fit before the next season starts. Stone should let him go, if there is any doubt about him.

Tilman would pay the money for Collins if that is what his son and front office believed would win. He will spend money but he gets cute trying to cut corners.

That Tucker dude from the Lakers is looking nice. Only 20, freakish wingspan, athletic, good defender, just need to work on his 3pt shot.
