    So sad to see this. Just hitting me hard that these are no longer my Rockets anymore, and just the Rockets. Bill was the only common link between multiple generations of Rockets basketball

    Winning cures all ails so let’s hope we can get our franchise player next year.

    Man, Rockets basketball is going to be weird without Bill.

    I was lucky enough to bump into him in a hotel lobby in LA and he was so friendly and happy to talk basketball with a fan from Australia who was clearly geeking out about meeting the voice of the Rockets.

    Absolute legend!

    Haven't watched a full game in a few weeks. Glad I turned this one on for Bill. I can't imagine Rockets games without him, but it was a good reminder of why I love sports. And I genuinely like some of these young guys; legitimately excited about next season!

    Great to see the Rockets winning one for Bill Worrell. It's still hard for me to accept that he is retiring. Bill is a living legend.

    I think @DreamShook quoted him on this too, but this tells me everything I believed to be true about Bill Worrell––he was a Houston Rocket. He was "we" and he believed he was a Houston Rocket because he didn't say "It was nice to go out with a win.", he said "I get to go out a winner."

    God I love that man. I've never been so sad after a win, ever.
