Gordon has been healthy for quite a while, but let the kids play has prevailed.

Gordon has no place here. Too many younger and cheaper options now.

No , he doesn't fit here .... but with that contract , due $37,787,178 in the next two seasons and missing huge chunks of the last two seasons .... I can't see a team taking him off your hands on talent & ability , you are gonna have to either ride out that contract another year or use assets to move him.

I'd rather not throw draft assets out the window just to get ridda him. Much like Wall ....

John Wall contract is worse, only will hinder the growth of Cade Cunningham when we get him..

Of course Wall's contract is worse but that does not diminish the fact that EG's contract is a negative one.

Neither of them have a place on this team but we are likely stuck with both unless you attack premium assets to get them gone and then you still have to take back $35m for Wall and $14.65m for EG to match salary.

Is it worth giving up picks to move either Wall or EG when you'll be taking back that much $$ and probably for a greater number of years ?

    Hell Naw.

What if he comes back looking really good? What if wall plays very well next season?

Then what if we end up w Cade? And KPJ/KMJ/Tate continue to impress?

add Wood and we could actually compete. Contender? No. But you can’t always be a contender. Most teams never are considered contenders. But they compete and sometimes still wind up with a legit chance at the Finals.

Yep. While he doesn’t fit here, we also aren’t competing for the duration of his contract, same for wall. I have no problem keeping both, at least they are guys young players can learn from. I’m certainly not paying to get rid of them. Someone may take them when they become expiring, that’s probably the only scenario they are moved. It also doesn’t make any sense to sign anyone else right now until there is a player to build around, so it’s not like they will be eating into our cap.

I love this mindset, instead of finding a decent job I am determined to win the lottery to end all my troubles.
