Seriously what happened? I hope KJ shot isnt a fluke.

im not a trainer, but one thing that encouraged me about KJ when we saw those pre NBA clips of him shooting was he didn't use his athleticism to shoot his shots. Usually players with his crazy hops jump really high and not know where to release the ball, like Russ tends to do.

KJ has no lift when he shoots like James Harden.

When KJ speeds up the slow wind up, he may be unstoppable!!!!

Everyone already knows KPJ from Cleveland. He can score in bunches like Harden. I contend that KPJ at 21 yrs old scoring 50/10 has the highest upside. We've already seen Harden's game and what he can do and impact the game. He and wood need to be roommates this offseason.

It really is like night and day. He's shooting with so much more confidence now. Early in the season he'd only take a 3 if there wasn't a defender in the area code. Now, its like crowding and close outs barely phase him.

Hopefully the consistency is real and his shot profile improves. I'd be happy if he ends up being a 40-45% stationary catch and shoot guy, but if he can add some motion or off the dribble shooting to his game, he'd be so dangerous.

Also surprised by the way he's seeing and processing the game. I thought that would be a major issue for him, but he's been making some good, simple, quick reads and passes.

I mean check this out, so far in May he's averaging 3 APG. From January to April? 0.6 APG.

I don't remember if I've personally seen this much mid-season improvement from a second round player. Let alone a player that many thought would be a G-League lifer, or years away from contributing.

    Play him more minutes.

Some days he had 6 FG attempts, some days he has 17 FGA.

    Beats me.

That's the type of player he is. He's a slasher and a streaky shooter that needs others to make plays for him. His FGA's will always vary based on how the team is being defended.
