Coach Silas looked pissed at the post-game interview. If you look at the stats, they should beat any team except they let the other team score 140.

 

We're not tanking. We stink.

 

Yeah the offense is actually kinda potent as of late (credit to Silas for that) but...you cant give up 50 in the first...no matter what draft pick you get.

 

Kind of specific "record", but still ...

 

Rockets need more elite defenders. Defenders that can lock down 1-5.

Draft, FA, trade, etc.

Giving up 50 points in one quarter is an embarrassment.

 

I fell asleep in the second, cams stats look good but how did he play?

 

Missed the game, did we win? The unguardable tour still going on?

I agree. I blame D'Antoni. He not only convinced the organization that defense is irrelevant, but it
appears most of *Red-Nation" as well.

During the Nets recent 4 game losing stretch, I watched a pre game show (Nets vs Mavs I believe)
in which the panel was criticizing the Nets lack of defense. How ineffective DeAndre Jordan
and Blake Griffin are during games. One of the panel mentioned D'Antoni as the common
dominator. He played small in Houston and he doesn't believe in conventional centers here
with the Nets; has been a little voice in the ear of Nash.

I can't disagree with that panel member.

What? How can you blame the current organization's awful defense on a coach who isn't here? House was literally the only guy who played last night who played under D'Antoni the last few seasons. We're talking about an entirely new group of players and an entirely new coaching staff. D'Antoni may not have prioritized defense as much as other coaches, but the Rockets were always at least middle of the road defensively when he was here. They might as well just be cardboard cutouts on defense this season.

If you want to find blame in the Rockets' current defensive woes, let's at least point the finger where it belongs—at the current team and coaching staff.

 

Wrong!!!!!! point blame at stone and above because they’re building the team through their vision and they clearly don’t value defensive bigs unless they undersized.

 

Just pure stupidity. Nvm the fact that the rockets had a elite rated def less than 3 years ago. Oh but that got broken up by a dumbass. Blaming something on folks who aren’t even here. Cf’s never fails

 

They got LMA, what can you do? Also the anti-small ball crowd wants the Nets to play DeAndre Jordan in crunch time, but he has largely struggled on D. Rockets current problems are plainly caused by the current regime.

 

Then that panel member is a paltroon.

In 2 of the 4 years D'Antoni was HC, Rockets had top 10 defense.

And blaming MDA for THIS Rockets team is disingenuous. MDA has nothing to do with giving up 50 point quarters.

Silas changed the defensive scheme and is responsible for in game adjustments but MDA still gets the blame?
