Supposedly he went into the dugout after the 7th (down 1-0) and went on a little rant that pumped the guys up or something. There was an article in the NJ Star Ledger that said they weren;t sure what was said. I'd be interested in knowing what he said.

Hey....imagine Clemens pitching to Piazza in the all star game? (that was suggested too in the article)

They're both in the NL. They will occupy the same dugout, though...

I think that is what he meant. He meant imagine Clemens pitching to him as his catcher.

Clemens should brush back Jeter and then claim Piazza called for the pitch.

The only way Jeter makes the All Star team is if he goes on a rampage or gets in on name alone. He has sucked it up big time this year.

    AB - 135
    R - 12
    H - 27
    2B - 5
    3B - 0
    HR - 2
    RBI - 13
    SB - 3
    CS - 1
    BB - 10
    BA - .200
    OBA - .265
    SLG - .281
    OPS - .547

Joe Torre will be the AL manager, so Jeter will be on the team.

not to mention he is still a fan favorite and he doesn;t have to compete against A Rod for the start any longer......and with Nomar out he will probably get voted in anyway

jeter isn't making this team. i really don't think he's going to get voted in...and if he doesn't, there's no way he makes the team, even with torre as manager, if he keeps batting around the mendoza line.

Only Yanks clearly deserving to be All Stars at this point are Posada & Rivera. Brown is a maybe.

I voted for all three of those guys on different ballots.
    Number of ballots cast- 20
Number of Yankee votes on those ballots- 0
Number of Red SOx votes on those ballots- 1 (I accidentally hit Trot NIxon instead of Magglio Ordonez)

Once Captain Intangibles gets voted in by the fans, we'll be able to discuss how it compares to Steve Francis getting voted in this year in the NBA.

I'm trying to figure out Rogers next two home starts after the mets, but the off days throw me off. Have they been just doing the rotatoin in the order as usual with a day in between starts.. like roger pitches sunday vs mets then off day monday and I should figure wade on the tuesday?

Yes. The only time a pitcher will get skipped is if Tim Redding's turn comes on a off day. But even then, if he gets his act together, he won't be skipped either.
