I am a really jaded person ...I have a job where I see what people will do for money or greed and it isn't pretty.... but I really hoped we would be a little more enlightened by now.....

I believe he just showed that he hasn't understood any of the points that you've been making.

If I have it correctly you showed how producing your own or using locally sourced food reduces carbon footprint more than being a vegan. But Red Rocket can't get the idea that unless people are vegan, they can't really be fighting climate change no matter how many times his premise is shown to be baseless.

You operate on the premise that people here are saying that all meat and dairy is bad. But that's not what we're saying - it's that balance is good. Vegans are too extreme in my view - and yes, eating lots of carbs is bad for you. But no one says you have to be vegan to be healthy, and no one says if you eat less meat or animal fat, you have to replace it with carbs and crisco.

These are all straw men you are arguing against.

Jay z is misogynistic, racist, violent and promoted drugs to rise to fame. And you drop to your knees and worship him for it because hes keeping it real, in your opinion.

Why does that standard not apply to white folk? Do you hold them to higher moral standards?

Pointing out the Inuit could use vegetables and grains in their diet is a public service and an advancement of science... in addition to keeping it real. All Inuit leaders agree with that, especially with modern lifestyles for the community differing vastly from those centuries ago.

You would do well to let the hate out and the truth in.

I'm not sure I agree with your take on Jay Z or your interpretation of his lyrics. Did Johnny Cash promote the murder of women, drug abuse, criminal life? Or did he sing about his own experiences and tell stories with those as the subject matter?

Jay Z didn't sing about anything that Johnny Cash and a dozen other white folks before him sang about.

Pretty sure I've never said any of that and you either didn't even read my posts when we were talking about that or you've decided to completely misrepresent me. I mean, I even showed quotes of Jay-Z talking about his own lyrics rather humbly.

    So dishonest.

You called Inuits dumber than others...stop dancing around what you said.

Who gives a damn about Jay-Z or Johnny Cash. Neither of them are particularly great people or germane to the discussion.

Going MORE vegan would likely help the environment. It is a piece of the larger puzzle.

Inuit people are no better or worse than any other group of people. If someone wants to infer inferiority then they are 100 years behind in the thinking.

What would help is for states to not so heavily incentivize Ag tax benefits for keeping cattle on your land when you dont really have the land to raise cattle to begin with.

More vegetation and trees to soak up the C02. It has little to do with the actual consumption of meat and everything to do with our land consumption tied to cattle industry benefits abused by well off retired people looking for a tax break.

The big problem solver we face will be pulling C02 from the atmosphere in some form or fashion. I’ve given up hope on mankind reversing our fossil fuel consumption anytime soon so it’s something that needs to be priority now.

That and heavily incentivizing US car companies to make good affordable electric cars (Musk gave up his Patten for this very reason). There’s no reason why Ford and GM cannot create a Tesla like version of an F150 or Silverado.

well here you go. to save ourselves from climate change, we need to have a nuclear war in order to reduce the human population.

"A devastating fact of climate collapse is that there may be a silver lining to the mushroom cloud. First, it should be noted that a nuclear exchange does not inevitably result in apocalyptic loss of life. Nuclear winter—the idea that firestorms would make the earth uninhabitable—is based on shaky science. There’s no reliable model that can determine how many megatons would decimate agriculture or make humans extinct. Nations have already detonated 2,476 nuclear devices.

"An exchange that shuts down the global economy but stops short of human extinction may be the only blade realistically likely to cut the carbon knot we’re trapped within. It would decimate existing infrastructures, providing an opportunity to build new energy infrastructure and intervene in the current investments and subsidies keeping fossil fuels alive."

Funny, but misleading on the slump in sales. Nearly every vendor that supplies restaurants is slumping.
